It's a manga but there is a REALLY crappy ova of part 3...and there's a movie of Part 1 but well...yeah, that was released in 2007 and still hasnt come out of DVD <_< and then 3 videogames.

The Manga is the best choice (mostly because...well yeah, you can't follow the story otherwise)

The first few chapters are...quite oddly drawn (mostly because Araki was busy trying to evolve his art) afterwards, it's a bit smoothly drawn.

And it's easy for me to relate to too~
Mostly because most of the characters are insane (some homicidally but either way...)
Each bit of the story is seperated in Acts.
Act 3 is just AMAZING! like- YES YES YES YES YES!
But yeah, Dave and John are probably my most favorite characters~<333
