COTH was banned because it was involved in an OTK. At the time, Monster Reborn was the only viable Rebirth card (every other one was involved in OTK's). Konami ended up banning the other card involved in the COTH OTK, so they re-limited COTH.

Yeah thanks for the additions... I wasn't aware of assault mode activate thing but I was aware of the synchro summons... I'll be sure to use them...

Yeah I knew that Endymion isn't a special summon only, however special summoning would be handy because it allows a normal summon.

Oh right sorry been using the wrong words.
They are called Spell Counters...
The signature card would have to be Endymion, the Master Magician. Or Silent Magician LV8. Those two require a few Spell counters to be on the field before being special summoned...
