Both scientists and mystics can't help. I still can't believe Dr. Doom wouldn't help. Sure he'd make Peter grovel and talk about how awesome he is, probably in exchange for a favor later on or to serve him forever but he'd help! Sure, his solution would probably be to turn Aunt May into a cyborg or something but knowing Peter he'd accept in a heartbeat.

The fact that no explaination is given as to why they don't help is annoying. All we see is Spider-Man appearing in multiple places thanks to Dr. Strange to talk to these people (long story), all on one page. Dr. Ock I can see not helping cause he hates Spider-man, but Dr. Doom? This is the kinda crap he lives for!

Oh, Spider-Man sold is marriage to Mephisto to heal Aunt May who had taken an assassin's bullet to the chest. And apparently no one on the Earth from Reed Richards, Dr. Strange, Black Panther (who runs the most technological country in the world), Elixar (who's power is healing), Dr. Ock, and Dr. Doom couldn't do anything to help heal a bullet wound.
