Well, Scar can use alchemy 'cause of his arm, 'cause it's an incomplete Philosephers's Stone, that's why when he uses alchemy he products a red light. Then, Edward could use alchemy only with the alchemy cirlce (Like Alphonse actually), then thanks to his right arm (Also in the 3rd episode, Ed went to the other side of the portal, seeing all the alchemy in the story, and learning many things about it, that's why he can use alchemy just clapping his hands)

Yeah, Hughes rocked T-T Oh, yeah, and I know that Ed is still alive 8D It's just sad >_> 'Cause he was dead, so Al gave the entire Philosophers's Stone in change to brought in life Ed, but he didn't want to loose Al, also because he was in an armor for 3 years and he wanted to make him happy to have again a body, so he gave in change his body obtaining Al's, but Ed's soul went to another dimension and in the film Al finds a way to bring him back 8D
