1 Its region locked for disk, but I can still play them
2 The reason why I can is because I still have the Japan region coding on my PS3
3 This means I can if I wanted to play a Jap game, but for the PS2 games I would need the backwards compatible one
4 The reason for this is that my coding is different from my American PS2
5 So I wouldn't be able to play a PS2 game or imported one because it has to have the same coding as the PS2(As I'm told)
6 So all those Jap only type of DL game I can play because I still have the coding from Japan

The only game they had out at the time was Heavenly Sword and Ratchet and Clank Future Tools Of Destruction. I was already getting them, and I didn't know much about the games they had out at that time.

And to point out the Backwards Compatible PS Triple was 1500 more than the one I got so again money is still the key hear. So even if I got an imported PS3 the american parts in it make it 1/2 way region locked so I can only play the full download Japanese games not the disk version.
