And then I send Water Spirit and Amphibious Bugroth to the graveyard to Synchro Summon...

You would put Amphibious Bugroth on your field. And then you would normal Summon Water Spirit. Then since their combined level's are equal to the number of monster's stars that you chose you would then send both of them to the graveyard to Synchro Summon your chosen monster.

Okay, Let's say that I wanted to Synchro Summon Brionac Dragon of The Ice Barrier.

So what I would do is I would first play Instant Fusion. Allowing me to Special Summon Amphibious Bugroth. And after that I would Normal Summon Water Spirit from my hand. Then since their combined level is equal to the number of Brionac's stars I would then send both of them to the graveyard to Synchro Summon Brionac Dragon of The Ice Barrier.

And before you ask, Synchro Monsters come from the extra Deck instead of the hand the same way Fusion Monsters do.

Sorry, I've been watching too much Yugioh 5D's.

In order to Synchro Summon a monster you have to send 1 Tuner and 1 or more non-Tuner Monsters to your graveyard whose number of stars are equal to the level of the monster you are trying to Synchro Summon.

Amphibious Bugroth is for Synchroing. Sorry that I didn't explain that to you. That was why I gave you that card. Plus I forgot to give you the Tuner Monsters. That was my bad. Sorry about that.

I was thinking something along the lines of playing Instant Fusion to special summon Amphibious Bugroth and then normal summoning Water Spirit and tuning it with Amphibious Bugroth to Synchro Summon Brionac Dragon of The Ice Barrier.
