With the holidays and the end of the year upon us, Kingdom Hearts creator and director Tetsuya Nomura has taken to YouTube to record a holiday message for Kingdom Hearts fans! The short video has Nomura tease upcoming events for the series' 15th anniversary--the releases of 2.8 and 1.5 + 2.5 on the PlayStation 4 in January and March respectively, the Kingdom Hearts concert tour beginning in March (which he promises he will attend, but keeps mum on when and where), and upcoming developments in Unchained χ (January has previously been announced to add Proud Mode missions, advancements in the main plot, and a new world to explore, while February will add multiplayer missions). He also wishes all fans a happy holiday season and looks forward to celebrating the 15th anniversary together.

Oh look, it's the sound of Heart's wallet crying because it knows she's going to buy this

According to Hobby Link Japan and twitter user, aibo, toymaker, Tenyo, will be releasing a 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle for Kingdom Hearts, specifically of the cover art of Kingdom Hearts 2.8. The puzzle can be preordered for 2800 Yen ($23) from there or from AmiAmi, which states that the puzzle will be released in mid-February.

There is also a listing for the puzzle on Amazon Japan, however, few details (or the ability to preorder it) are available at this moment.
UPDATED: For the second time, over the past few years, her father has retracted his statement:

Since Kingdom Hearts II, fans have been wondering if Utada Hikaru would return to write another song for Kingdom Hearts III. It's certainly been a winding road to get here--Utada herself at one point said she wouldn't due to issues with Disney over payment, then her father at another point Tweeted that she would, then immediately recanted. Now, with Utada fresh off her five-year hiatus from music, we have official confirmation that she is indeed writing a brand-new song for Kingdom Hearts III!

The confirmation comes from her father's Twitter, and this time, it seems to be for real. "Actually we have already started," he says in the Tweet. "Sorry for keeping you waiting."

While we wait to hear the new song, we'll still have the Simple and Clean (Ray of Hope) Mix EP releasing on iTunes on January 11 to tide us over. The EP is available for pre-order now.

In the latest issue of Dengeki Playstation, 'Kingdom Hearts' director, Tetsuya Nomura, talked a bit on both 'Kingdom Hearts 2.8 HD Final Chapter Prologue' and 'Kingdom Hearts III'. While a full translation of the interview isn't out yet, KHInsider user Zephyr was able to translate some of the main points of the interview, where Nomura discusses things such as no new boxart for 'Kingdom Hearts 1.5+2.5' on the PS4, how the remasters have never affected development of KH3, and the return of Reaction Commands in KH3 (now called Situation Commands and evolved to be less like simple QTEs). The main points can be read below:
This post will be updated with the full interview as soon as a translation is out.

EDIT: The full interview is as follows (thanks again to KHInsider for providing the translation)
