It's awesome but the coloring...I have to agree with the rest. But you manage to keep Zexion's semxiness xD

Oh I love both versions. I kinda like the blue hair!! He looks fine with it (provided it isn't in a cosplay haha) but aside from the lips it is very very nice! I'd love to see a full body shot of him lovie<3

The first version is better then the second, by far, but it still isn't that great either. The colors are off, and yes I know you said youd idn't have the colors, but a real artist creates their own colors from what they have. The only real advice I can give you is TRY MAKING YOUR OWN STUFF, reference is great and all, but we can't really know how good/bad you are until you try making your own work. All I've seen of you so far is referenced work, and quite frankly none of them are that great. You need to quit being afraid to go dark. Rinoa's hair is dark brown, L's hair is black, Zexion's cloak is black, you've done little more then light gray. You need to try working on shade and color variation, as well as consistency when it comes to detail and outlines. The main reason why the second version is worse thent he first is because the lips look 10x smaller then they're supposed to, and the outline for them is TINY in contrast to the rest of the drawing, where the outlines are thick and dark.

You have potential Cupcake, but you have a LOT of work to do, despite allt he lies these people are spewing out.

Thats exactly what i needed to hear

I'm not entirely sure how to make my own stuff. Refrences allow me to see where i draw at and suchforth, if its in my head it'll come up different.

I do agree with what Cin said; it is much more fun and better to practice doing your own work. Trust me, it is actually easier!! So don't be afraid of it. Just look at real people's bodies to see shapes and muscles and definition and you'll be fine. It's what I do (not that I have skills or anything) but it has helped me get a better idea of what people look like. I really hate using reference pictures myself. Sometimes I'll base something off of a picture I saw once (like maybe an aspect or two) but as a general rule using pictures never helps me. My stuff looks so much worse with them D:

 

ok uhmm in the first one only one thing i saw wronge but (if that is his collor bone, or if it's his tendons... i cant tell >.>) but if it is his color bone it is a little high....

 

That is very good.Just maybe work on the lips and thats all :)
