I wanted to post this AMV I made yesterday, because I've created a new Youtube chann (my 5th or so) where I'm only doing VideoGame/Anime/Manga stuff. And I'm posting this, because I'm finally out of my "dry streak" of 4 months or so without making AMV's. I'm not one to use a lot of special effects, though I do use a lot of timed scene changes. I liked the simple style that you used when you edited the video. Most people seem to think that the effects make the video for some reason but you're different and I like that C: One problem I had with the video was some of the scene choices. Some of the scenes just felt like they were there to fill in the space. I suggest that you try doing more lyric syncing. The main theme of this song is obviously war and while you did have scenes with war, there were some other scenes like the romantic ones with Saito and Louise that seem out of place. Another thing to do is take out the subtitles in your next AMV. They're so distracting ><
Thank you very much for the feedback :) I'll definitely continue making AMV's the way I already do, because to me it's the scenes that are important! Some people might think it's lazyness, but I assure all of the ones who might believe so, it isn't. I'll Yeah, I've gotta fix the subtitles for sure. And yeah, the theme of the song is definitely war, though I tried to show why Saito would go to war, which is solely to protect Louise. But hey, I'll try to kick it up a notch for my next AMV, which won't be too far away I think. I have a lot of schoolwork to be done though, but I'll try to work on AMV's as much as I can! Not bad but you repeated quite a few clips multiple times. Also the timing was off in places and you didn't really keep to the beat of the song further into it, to me it seems like you got lazier the further into it you got. All in all not bad, but practice makes perfect. Just keep trying with your AMVs and it'll get easier.
I think I used two 2 second clips twice, but a lot of the scenes were unfortunately a lot alike. The timing I noticed was a little off in a couple of places, and that was a little miss on my side. I didn't get lazy further into it, but I ran out of song, so I needed longer scenes in order to make the "story" make sense. But thanks for the feedback :) My next AMV will definitely be better, getting rid of my rust =)
It's fine. I know how it feels to come back to AMV making after taking a long break/hiatus. It takes some time to get back into the swing of things. I'm looking forward to more of your stuff... ^-^
