I don't know if you guys think of it like this or not but youtube is just starting to get on my nerves. The copy-right thing is plain bull-s***. For all I know I don't even think they follow these "copy-right rules" but any way, would anyone know how to by pass it? Or do I have to upload on another site? And If I do upload on another site which one would u recommend be the best to upload videos up on.

EDIT: Gay youtube...won't let me freaking upload my videos...

    First thing:

    Do not disrespect gay people.

    Second thing:

And you can speed the video up a tiny bit, to the point where you can't even tell it's faster, and upload it. They won't recognize it that way. And don't blame Youtube for having to follow the legal rules, even if they are this strict.

As far as I know, Youtube completely ignores disclaimers. Their policy pretty much is, "You do not own this song. *BLANK* does. And *BLANK* doesn't think you should use a video with this song in it." Insert whatever company makes the copywrite claim. :/ I'm not exactly sure why Youtube picks certain videos, but I know disclaimers don't make a difference. It kinda sucks. :(

Most of my videos has disclaimers. Goes for like 10 seconds and still they do that.

Every last one of my videos has disclaimers, but that doesn't stop them. I had them block my "Up in Smoke" video last month, and they wouldn't put it back unless I used their "freebie library" or I just removed the song altogether. I ended up taking it down.

Yeah... disclaimers do nothing. I actually looked it up in their legal section. It basically says that, no matter what you say, the only way that you can put a video up with a song that you did not write, is to buy the rights to that song from the record companies (like what filmmakers have to do when they make a real, hollywood movie). That probably costs a ton of money.

The only real course of action you can take is to upload on a different site. I suggest... Here. KH-Vids has a video portal where you can upload almost anything KH/FF related, but I don't know about anything else.

And yes, Youtube is gay. Or rather, the owner of Youtube, Google, is gay. I remember the days when Google Video actually allowed you to DOWNLOAD right off their site to your computer! Can't do that anymore!

    I think there's a way...

I just found this video...I dunno if it will help but it's helped with my preview AMV which I uploaded yesterday.

NOTE: This is only for the audio (music).

    Basically:

This was quoted from the video under me.

Hope this works for some of you guys...

Well, that would only work if you HAVEN'T already tried to get your audio back. It's good to know, but not a universal cure. I still maintain that Youtube is sh*t.

I hate the youtube crap. I put disclaimers, credits, and other stuff and the muted my videos I was trying to upload. They said I was stealing copyright property.

i don't get why everyone puts disclaimers. it doesn't make sense as to why people think that would even work. it doesn't change the fact that they are still uploading copyrighted material. not that i care but i just wish people would stop putting disclaimers.

anyway, i do think that they should be a little less strict about it because half the time it's the people who have their videos taken down aren't uploading a entire episode or something. most of the time they edit the video into parts that people like or into an AMV or something alone those lines. but at the same time, the people who do upload episodes are technically stealing even though i like watching uploaded episdoes and even though it does seem like a victimless crime (like jay walking).

Someone didn't read a certain message...

Another tip that works (for a short time, from my experience) is using a short intro with an artist not under Youtube's copyright protection.

I didn't mean homosexual, I meant stupid and excessive. Gay has just become an all-over term to mean those types of things.

And your tip won't stop them from claiming the main audio. Unfortunately.

    I second this. =D

Also, GGamer, I find that editing the song in some way helps to bypass the copyright law. Not actually editing the song so verse 2 switches with verse 1 though, that won't work. Cutting out parts of the song or distorting the sound may work. With videos that have meaning behind them, it could help to add voice clips from the game over the song to contribute to both the AMV and the anti-copyright.

Well, I don't say it everywhere... Like my English 12 teacher in high school said: we have diferent sets of grammar rules and manners depending on who we are with: bosses, one set. Parents, a different set. Firends, another, internet forums where we can't get beat up, another, etc etc. Trust me, I'm a lot more crude with my friends.

But we are getting off-topic. Let's get back to hating Youtube, please.
