Oh maaaaan. Always wondered when there would be a sizable competition for Twitch. It'll be really interesting to see what kind of offers YouTube is gonna give out to the more prolific streamers to incentivize them using this, and what kind of changes Twitch will make in response to keep their crowd just as enticed. I'm definitely gonna try this out when it comes later in the summer.
Functionally, Twitch is pretty awful so I'm glad it's getting a competitor in the mix. Based on YouTube's track record I imagine I'll stick with Twitch, but I'm still interested to see what comes out of this.
I hope it's at least easy to navigate and operate with. The few experiences I've had with twitch have proven a bit troublesome.
Gratefully it seems to have a completely separate design from regular YouTube, which I find very difficult to navigate. Obviously we won't know until we use it but so far it looks good. Twitch's entire interface is awful, one improvement I hope they make now that they have a competitor.
