Not even song lyrics because I listened to a lot of things while making these.

So basically I have been doing lots of playing around with photoshop because THERE ARE SO MANY THINGS YOU CAN DO! And I find it hard to make stuff that I am happy with.

I followed this tutorial because I was like "I WANT TO LEARN HOW TO DO DEPTH AND STUFF!"

I then went on to make this one which I don't think came out as well but I tried xD (the tutorial I followed was incredibly bare bones though so I also followed the first one quite closely)

CnC is much appreciated, be harsh, I must learn >:3 and otherwise I won't get anywhere.

These look amazing. I like the colors and details around the characters, though the barbed wire (is that barbed wire?) thing in the spider-man one is a bit of an eye sore, if I focus on it. Overall, I like it.

You mean the C4D thing that is blurred in front of Spiderman? :3 Yeah, that was me trying to give a sense of depth to the piece but I do see what you mean :3 Thank you for the feedback. I need to find a way to make it not stand out so much but still create the effect I want it to :3

    Oh wow, this is amazing.

    First piece:

The first one could use some slight more blurring on the front C4D, or maybe change the hue/saturation a bit (CTRL + U or just go to Image > Adjustments while having that layer selected if anyone is wondering how to do that). IDK, my attention isn't still fully focused on Spidey himself. I feel that C4D in special sticks out like a sore thumb, probably because of how the entire piece is colorful and that thing is in such a gray-ish dark color.

Also there's the problem with the light sources, you got a cyan light source BEHIND the C4D while the yellow ones aren't (And if they were, it would make the C4D stick out more lol). For fixing that I recommend either bringing the lights after the C4D layer, or make a clipping mask to the C4D layer, brushing in a color, and set it to Lighten or something, and then play with the opacity to give it a "Back light" effect.

Speaking of light sources, you put a negative light (The black purple I think dot) on front of a light source, and that makes it stick out a bit too much.

    Second piece:

Second piece could use some relocation, it's not following properly the Rule of Thirds (Or maybe it's me looking at it wrongly?), it's not such a hard task, you can either try to crop the left side or make the entire thing bigger horizontally-wise, place it on the left and smudge a bit (But I feel that last one idea might be stretching it), or maybe put on a huge border?

Also Maaaaybe on an Apply Image layer burn the sides and lighten the center where Master Chief is located to draw the attention more to him.

Sorry if I'm too rough or not too helpful, I haven't given critique in a long while. :l

But really, this is amazing, really nice work. c:

Not at all : D thank you very much for the feedback it is much appreciated. I tend to spend so long staring at my work that I lose the idea of what looks good and what doesn't xD I will try these changes when I get home later :3

Yeah, I was hoping that because the front C4D was dark it wouldn't draw attention away from Spiderman xD Oh well, I shall play with the colours to see if that makes a difference.

Ahh yes, the cyan light source was just there more in reference to the render as opposed to the frontal C4D :3 Wait, do you mean having the cyan lightsource infron of the front c4d and, again, playing around with the colours? Also, I have never tried giving stuff black light effects :3 I shall try that! Thanks : D

Ahh, that was never intended as a negative light source but it does look like it, you're right. It was a clipping mask of another part of the signature but I shall sort that out :3

I did have problems placing the render to start with simply because I wanted to get his gun in... but you can barely see it so it sort of failed there xD I will see what I can do to widen the right side :3 Actually, would it be better to cut a bit off the right side so the head is more in the right position?

Yes! I did do a lot of this xD it was a lot more flat and so I burned and darkened the edges but I tried not to overdo it but I shall do some more :3

Anyway, thanks again Laplace : D

these would be much better if you used muddier/earthy colors. the colors are too bright and vibrant for the effects used imo.
also, there are other ways to add depth without blurring the hell out of things such as the dodge and burn tools to bring things forward and push things back. playing with composition and size of things can also aid in achieving depth. blurring/sharpening is a staple for depth in tags but over-blurring/sharpening can do more harm than good. though both can create really cool effects if you base your piece around them so take what i say here with discretion.
otherwise i do like your work here. the text could be played with a little more but I've never grasped typography myself so I can't add much there.
