Since it wasn't like this back on vBulletin, it appears to be an issue -- or whatever you want to call it -- related to XenForo.

A while ago, I was going through the This Day in History thread to make sure no dates were missed, and I discovered that I made some year errors in some of the histories and put 2012 instead of whatever year said history happened on, so I had Stardust fix them.

While doing so, I also discovered some excess spacing that I found to be weird since it wasn't like that back on vBulletin. I just thought that it was a small issue that occurred during the move from vBulletin to XenForo, so I Stardust try to fix it, but she said that the excess spacing sometimes wasn't there when you refreshed the page and sometimes the excess spacing would be elsewhere.

She came up with the theory that it's XenForo advertisement system. Because we have Adblock Plus, though, we don't see the advertisement, just the space of it. It seems something in XenForo's advertisement system is preventing Adblock Plus from fully blocking the advertisement or something -- at least that's what I think from the way the excess spacing is appearing.

Here are a few screenshots describing what I mean. The second two are after refreshing the page.

From the looks of it, it seems to affect just quoted material, but I'm not 100% sure. Is there something that can be done to fix this?

Stardust can also chime in with her own thoughts.

Using adblock plus (or any adblocker) hurts the site--it cuts into the revenue we make from ads, which goes towards paying hosting bills and the like. So we won't be addressing any issues with how your adblocker works.
