XBOX 360 shredding up games?

This is really weird and my friend told me it happened.
He said he was playing guitar hero on his 360 and went up to switch the game
while it was still running, he toook the 360 and set it on the floor and he heard a really weird noise. but didnt think anything of it. and then when he looked inside, the 360 shreded his guitar hero.

Has anyone else heard of this happening?

He likely tilted it when he moved it. It's happened to me before when some kid knocked it over.

 

Man that really sucks.
Do you know why it does that, I mean none of the other systems do.
