I was reading my history textbook the other day and a thought came into my head. Wat if Germany DID take over Britain and the Soviet along with every other neutral country in Europe. Wat do u think would've happened to the war at that point? Do u think the US would've been a big problem for the Axis at that point?

Well if the US had the balls they could just spam Atom Bombs on Hitler's ***.

I'd keep a careful eye on your opinion, boy... Warnings are one of my favorite things to hand out. >>

Atomic bombs weren't even created back then. The U.S. didn't start that until WWII started. And also, the U.S. never wanted to be in the war. They were neutral until Pearl Harbor happened. They wanted to keep away from the issues of the world. Kind of ironic when you think about it today.

In any case, I think Hitler would've easily taken over. He was on the brink of taking over Britain when we finally joined.

    That's my thoughts.

There are a ton of shows and some movies that have that as a 'what if' scenario and it always tends to show a global domination by the Reich and then the heroes all having to try to take out the regime. I think a lot of people have pondered this. Usually the reason hinders on the point that if the U.S. hadn't of gone to help when they did and England wasn't doing certain things, that basically the world would be ran by the Nazis. Time travel sorts of things liked to use this or shows like Sliders. I know there are a ton of things with this concept in it but I'll be shnookered if I can remember them at the moment.

Read "The Man in the High Castle" by Phillip ****. Gives a perspective of what it would be like.

The author's name is Phillip K. D-i-c-k so that you can know who the guy is. It is a very interesting book and the last name was censored so just thought you'd want what Blademaster here meant.

Hitler probably could've taken over Britan, if the US didn't enter the war. As for the US being a problem for the Axis, it depends on how much the Axis saw us as a threat.

Not really. As far as I can see, there's been conflict in the middle east for a while now. The US only got involved after 9/11, sort of like with Pearl Harbor.

The Battle of Britain was the decisive battle. If Britain had not won that air battle then the UK would have been invaded and probably taken over by the Axis forces. The resistance in France would have collapsed through lack of support and all of Hitler's forces would be concentrated on Russia.

I would also like to point out that America came late into both World Wars. This caused many unneccessary deaths and made the war last longer than it should have. As far as I see it America would not enter a war it did not think it was certain of winning (Is it true that America has never won a war it started on its own? Because I'm pretty sure it is =/)

Also the main reason Hilter lost was because he tried to fight on two fronts. He was doing fine on the Western Front then decided to take on Russia. This bogged down his forces and weakened his overall strength.

Meh, not much point dwelling on what ifs. All they do is make you realise how fragile the present is and the future is going to be =/
