I may be wrong about this, but I believe that each main game in the series depicts a town with a timeless sky. Traverse Town in kh1 had a sky that, as far as we know, was always night. In kh2 there was Twilight Town, a world in everlasting dusk. I say Twilight town is everlasting dusk due to the area there called sunset hill.

What's interesting about these two towns is that they represent the time of day for whatever new creature that was introduced in the game.

Traverse Town = night & night = heartless (the creatures of darkness)

Twilight Town = Dusk & Dusk = nobodies (the creatures in-between that are doomed to fade back into darkness. Note: Dusk is also the name of a type of nobody)

something else to take note on about Twilight Town, In kh2, that is the only world that has only nobodies in it. not once were heartless found in that world, unless you count Yen Sid's tower, which was not really a part of the town.

So what we have left is Dawn and day. well I could be wrong, but I think we already got a sneak peak of the world in everlasting dawn. I believe that it is the beach that Riku and Sora ended up on after the final battle in KH2. That beach was seen earlier in the game too, when Xemnas asks Roxas if he remembers his true name. For both of those scenes, the sky appears to be that of dawn.

Another reason why I think that world could be the world of Dawn is because of something Riku said to Sora while they were there. Riku told Sora that, "This world is perfect for me". Riku's keyblade is call The Road to Dawn. Riku represents the dawn. he began his journey in darkness and ultimately came out as light. Stating that the world was perfect for him could just mean that it is the world of Dawn.

Destiny Islands has shown to have night as well as day. It was night time when the heartless appeared. and at the end of kh2 the sun was setting.

Disney worlds don't count for this seeing that if you've seen the movie they refer to, they all have night and day.

the meaning of twilight is not day or night but in-between, therefore twilight town is not everlasting night but instead just in-between. one of the areas there is call sunset hill which is why I say that it represents dusk.

dusk and dawn are opposites like night and day. that means that there is not just dusk, night, and day, but also dawn.

the beach, at the end of kh2, looked as though it was in ruins, so I think that something happened there long ago. That may mean that we will be seeing it in BBS.

Hm...that world with the beach would make sense as everlasting dawn. I'm wondering if maybe there is some way that all these worlds are connected? Like something special would happen. Good theories though.

that grassy field place that Sora was walking in at the beginning of CoM, the place with the four connecting paths, I think that links these worlds together or something. I don't know if this is true, but I read once that Sunset Horizon and that field Sora was in, are one and the same. from the name of that world, though you would think it has a timeless sky. but that may not be the case. during the hidden trailer in final mix+ the sky turns to night. I am not sure if that is because of the battle or not though. oh and by the way, according to KHinsider, that is an actual scene in the game, so the sky definitely does change. though, again, we have no way of knowing whether it was from natural causes.

the beach and Sunset Horizon probably are not one and the same. Sunset horizon has several clouds in the sky, while the beach has none what so ever. if the beach world has a timeless sky, then they can not be one and the same. besides, the look of the two worlds don't match at all.

Interesting theory as Entity(Silver the hedgehog) said. I have more evidence to support you theory. Have you noticed what happens in the KHII secret ending. They all pick up there keyblades at dawn.Maybe the crossroads is the world of dawn.

Dawn is the beginning of the day, the dawn is the unbirth and the unbirth is the start of the heartless and nobody division.maybe back when BBS was, Unbirths were there, now they aren't.Maybe unbirths were the darkness after taking over a person completely and this is the reason that Xehanort didn't want terra being taken by the darkness.Sometime after something happened to casue the unbirth to just split and splinter so that instead of becoming one being taken over by darkness that you'de become more e.g; A Heartless, A nobody and possibly more.

Interesting idea, I never thought about it this way. I'm pretty sure we'd see dawn/morning in birth by sleep, birth and dawn and morning go hand in hand together in tons of stories and plot lines.

    As for the creatures...

I'm not sure we'd see them in any dawn town/city/world. Remember, those things are still darkness. Although unbirths, heartless and nobodies have been seen while it was light out, they are most powerful when it is dark. (The End of the World/ The World that Never Was = heartless/nobody strongholds)

Good point. But Riku has represented dawn for a long time. Like at the very end of COM He is asked by DIZ which road he'd take and RIku saiod the middle road. DIZ asked "The road to twilight?" ANd Riku Replied "No...The road to dawn."

O.O..... OMG you could be on to something there! wow, I never thought about that before. Well.... that may be just the case. disney castle is an original world, I think, even if it is a disney world. I don't recall it ever being use in a movie, and there is the Coner Stone of Light, or whatever it is called. but yeah, it is very possible that it could represent light. the only thing that hold me back from being definate on this one is that, even if it was for a short time, heartless did manage it into the castle. And then when you go back in time, there is the building on fire which takes place at night (the question is, does that count?). so It could be the world of light, but I am reluctant to say it is the world of light.
