Help Wondering About Video Signatures 2

The rule states:
10a. Two graphics/pictures per signature. The limit on them is 500x500 pixels in total. Any bigger and you will have your signature removed by a mod/admin, and a note will be left to explain why it is gone.
10b. One gif (moving image) per signature, due to complaints about computers freezing and slower loading times. The limit is now 500kb per signature for file size.

But with the video I had in my sig was approx 300x400 pixels and did not movie automatically, so it loaded quicker than a gif file. When I go onto a page with a gif it takes a while for it to load, but you have to press the play button on a youtube video, so the flash is not started until the play button is pressed; making the sig load faster than a small gif.

 

YouTube videos are not allowed either.

 

Why? If they're not taking up much memory and slowing down a computer then why is it banned?

 

Because sometimes the embedding of objects screws up everyone else's views, leaving a big white space that doesn't load and the inability to scroll any further than that person's post. This counts for almost all embedded objects whether it's YouTube or anything else that requires the Flash player. :huh:
