    FINALLY.

It's about time someone decides to do this. It's ridiculous, $4.35 a gallon? THE ARMY IS DESTROYING IRAQ, AND NOT BRINGING BACK FUEL?

Government: Bring us Oil from Iraq, or GTFO of Iraq.

Finally? Someone could've been hurt! It's okay to protest things that you have a legitimate problem with, i.e gas prices, but the freedom of assembly is the freedom of peaceful protest, not the freedom of fiery protest.

That women is a blundering and complete idiot. She deserves to be in jail.

This makes me so mad. She dares to set somebody's Starbucks on fire? Starbucks isn't a gas station.

This isn't the way to protest and I strongly disagree with this.

What an idiotic woman. She deserves to be in jail because she is a thug.

I like your post, my friend. =]

Its good to say she was "protesting" but this isn't the way to stop the high gas prices.By setting gas stations on fire could have seriously injured someone or possibly even killed someone. So this wasn't smart.

Yes i agree sovereign. You are very knowledgable. This idiot goes on as if he knows what he's talking about. He doesn't seem to care that they are destroying iraq.He only cares that they're not getting oil out of iraq and are qestroying iraq doing it and thats the only reason he cares.Usually i'm pretty nice to noobs but this guy just can't shout up and think about what he's talking about. No wonder he's got Negi-Rep unlike me and you who have three Rep gems.

Also, does this lady know that if she had managed to blow up one of these gas stations she would be wasting tons of gallons of gas, effectively driving the price up again?

McPie, you seem to be rather hostile in your opinions. I read the other before it was deleted too, and just want to say that you have some points but are very militant aggressive with them.

Let's seriously take a look at the scene here and what she did. She's going after 3 gas stations (and a Starbucks because she must hate coffee or corporations that she feels are overcharging), and this has effects that are only negative.

Those people that own the gas stations are just sellers of it. They aren't making a killing on getting the gas sold. They get a small percentage off the top and must pay to have it available for consumers. Most only earn a few pennies per gallon of gas pumped and depend on their convenience stores with food etc to bring them up. They have no choice but to sell gas at the prices they are. It is out of their hands. So she's going to take 3 gas stations, light them on fire and let it blow to make them unemployed? Or even worse, they could be working and she could have killed them and others trying to pump gas. How is this logical?

So, she's going to take this away from them and also pollute the air with all of that burning gas that now no one can use and it scorches things and potentially harms people. Yay?

We don't take gas from Iraq for a reason. It is -theirs-. We went to depose of a leader that was a threat and let them design a new government that would be less harmful to others and well, to the Iraqi people themselves. If we took their oil, we might as well totally take over their country, which isn't what was intended, despite the words of some. Whether people agree with the war or not isn't up for debate. Stealing their oil for ourselves would be even more wrong and it conveys an awful message.

There is nothing wrong with a peaceful protest. I expect a lot of people will be doing so in the future because other vehicles that could be used such as hydrogen ones and hybrids aren't so readily available in the types of vehicles people want. If oil companies hadn't messed around and bought out car companies early on, I am sure by now we'd have had more options so that we could trade in gas guzzlers for something more environment friendly and also we wouldn't have to skimp on comfort and room in vehicles. However, attacking gas stations is not right. We've been screwed by the oil companies themselves; not gas stations who are just distributors.

So her reasons are lost in a frenzy of rage. We shouldn't be cheering this woman but think instead she needs some mental help and is taking her fight against the wrong people. She could lobby and do peaceful protests that harm no one. If enough people get together and demand that we get treated better, have vehicles of quality to switch over to and force a stop on being dependent on oil we'd do a lot better for ourselves than seeing some woman make people look stupid because she goes after the wrong thing.

I'm reaching out here, man. You've got to see that this is wrong and it's not a great thing. I really hope you do because rage against the wrong things and acts that harm others and property isn't going to solve anything at this point. Take a moment to chill and look at the facts.

Haha. I heard about this on the news. Good thing I can't drive for another 9 months or I'd probably do something like that. lol. Luckily we have lower gas prices here than most of the country. Ours is still under four dollars as long as you don't buy the super uber grade gas.

$4.35?? Wow, that's relatively low for you, wherever you are. O.o' Gas price here is $4.49! T_T

I heard the news yesterday on KCAL 9, and I couldn't stop laughing. xDD People, people, people . . . crazy, crazy people. :nono: Seriously though, pulling stupid stunts like this is insane! Setting fire to a few gas stations will not reduce the rising gas prises, and she just totally wasted a crap load of fuel! D<

And why a Starbucks?? That was just depressing. T_T

PS: I'd seen that other thread before it disappeared. :sideways: Chill, hun, there's no need to degrade it because it's against your beliefs.

The government purposely does this to your oil. They aren't short on anything. The dollar is just so weak and cheap now, that it costs too much money to do it. If we had gold, however, this would be seven hundred times easier.

Seriously. Sometimes I wonder what goes through politicians minds.

Yes, I do know what I'm talking about, Captain ****** Grammar.

Yes, I only care about the oil. If they are killing innocent Iraqis, then what for? We should just get some oil from them. Not kill people for no reason.

I'm a noob? I lol'd. Look at you, you're whining like a baby about how you think I don't care about the people getting killed, and you have terrible grammar. Ever heard of Capitalizing and using commas?

Oh, and I have Negi-rep on a internet forum? OH GOD MY LIFE IS MEANINGLESS NOW!!!! /wrists

^if you're too stupid to tell, the above statement was sarcasm

And this is coming from the person who recently called me an idiot several times...

This woman likely does not have mental problems- she's protesting the high gas prices. It might not be the best way to do it, but at least she has the nerve.

And why mourn the Starbucks? We have about a million in each city of America, and their coffee tastes terrible.

You aren't an idiot but you are very hostile with your words and angry. Seriously, consider how others were harmed. It's not the best way to do it. It's the absolute worst way to do it. We don't need a mess environmentally or that harms or kills others because she wants to send a message to oil companies. Do you think this message reaches them as something that needs to change? Those oil companies don't give a crap. They have done atrocities overseas that are far worse and that's the way it is. She's only harming local people and impeding on the lives of others who need the fuel to get places.

Also, just because you don't like Starbucks, if you hate it so much you don't support it by buying their stuff. You don't need to go attacking it physically. That's just lame.

You are going to get yourself banned and I know you are angry and don't want to hear it and will just say 'oh boo-hoo, I'm banned from a video game forum' but you are really overreacting and furious. Take a moment to calm down.

Nobody likes high gas prices and it's just gonna keep going up & up so I guess "protesting" would be ok but not in a violent matter and where I live there trying to add more light rail systems.

So i'm so-so about her protest.
