Please CnC. ;~; I'm new at digital coloring, started this month. I sketched the picture out, scanned it and then took it into Gimp to edit and color.

Tips on shading would be very appreciated because I have no idea how to shade, even with the tutorials.

Unedited. (With the exception of resizing. :3)

:'D This made me really happy. Thank you.
And yes, I decided not to make the dress a perfect circle because I don't think it would be a perfect circle if someone was sitting down like that. x3
    Thank you~

    Oh yay. :3

Thank you. I would totally color some of your stuff for you. xD I've been so bored doing nothing this summer.

    Glad you like it. 8D

I think it looks great, I love your pictures. 8D

I am with Reptar, I like how you do your coloring on Gimp and your drawings, it looks awesome. :D

As for shading you can just practice? I suck at it too so I can't really help you. 3:

    Very cute~!

I'll teach you how you can start out shading and you can create your own style.
I don't know what program you use to digitally color, but before I'll have to show you how to create a palette.

Heres a picture I made to help you with that:

Now as you can see, you'll need to get your colors in a curve like that. Then create your palette from darkest to lightest. The middle color should be your base.

Now here is a picture where I actually used them:

The arrow is the light source and where the light is coming from. See how the lighter color hits the cube where it is closer to the arrow when the darker is further away? It's really easy trust me. If you need any more help, you can ask me or just look for more tuts.

This is really good! I love how the colors go together. She has the cutest eyes! (I have Gimp too. It's the savior of those who can't get photoshop.)
