Anybody here want to talk about their experiences with them? Right now my fourth is coming in, and causing an INSANELY painful ear ache that has a side effect of roughly halving the volume I hear at.
Anybody have something similarly bad? Worse? Not as bad but still bad?
I hear as a general rule girls get them early and it's easier

I had mine removed while I was still in high school. The recovery was actually pretty painful. Are you not going to have to get yours removed?

Mine came in without incident. I barely noticed actually. Though there is a bit of gum overlapping the one in the top left. Once in a blue moon that starts bothering me (maybe if I bite it too much on accident?) but other than that, nothing.

Yeah, it's best to get them removed quickly since they won't be fully grown into your gums. I never had a problem with mine, but it was still best to have them removed.

Well the people who did my braces said they were going to come without incident, so neither me nor my parents looked into it.
But those people were utter hacks sooo

Hey, do you know how hard it is to hack an utter? Probably harder than using an adjective as a noun.

My dentist mistakenly removed four of my teeth instead of two when I was a teenager, so when my wisdom teeth eventually popped up they had all the room they needed. I can' t even tell when they came up exactly, I didn' t notice.

Well, it depends on the size of your mouth and teeth. Like in my instance, I have a small mouth and relatively big teeth, so I probably should get them removed pretty soon since they are fully grown out lol. I don't feel any pain yet, so I'll probably keep them in. I think it's more of me afraid of going through the operation itself over anything else (most people say this is an "irrational" fear, but I have personal reasons :x ).

But if the wisdom teeth are big enough to fit in your mouth alongside your other teeth with no pain, then I suppose it doesn't matter.

I have big 'ol gaps at the back of my teeth where my wisdom teeth are supposed to come in, but they haven't actually come in yet. They're definitely there, I've seen them in the X-Rays, but they've just been sort of chilling underneath my gums for like two years now and haven't moved. My theory is that they haven't fully come in yet because I refuse to acknowledge that I'm an adult.

Though if I'm anything like my mother I'll never need to have them removed anyway so.

It also depends if they are impacted, or sideways under the gums.

I'm 20. My top right has came in fine. My top left is coming in. I cant feel the point of the tooth poking through but no pain. I dont think my bottom ones have came through yet.

You should remember that even though it's not painful, it might still not be a good idea to keep them in if you don't have room. My older brother had room in his mouth, so he didn't need his removed, but when I had mine, even though it didn't hurt, I still didn't have enough room, so slowly the wisdom teeth would have pushed my other teeth out of alignment. And that can get pretty bad if you don't get them out quickly.
Most of mine started coming in around 3 years ago. I only got them removed back in November or so, but I remember the most annoying part after was that because you basically just had a hole in those spots, any time you ate you had to take some kind of little spray thing and clean them out. And I had to do this for like a week or so, and you can't eat any food for 24 hours or so. Although in my case it was more like 48, so I was practically starving by the time I could eat something. You just had to make sure you washed them out with that thing any time you ate anything, since even the smallest bit of food could stay behind and give you an infection.

The main thing I remember is spending a full day or two just lying in bed with cotton puffs in my mouth, constantly switching them from the blood, and eating nothing but mashed potatoes, yogurt and soup.

Ah yes, the bandage swapping was certainly a pain, especially since I had to do it every 30 minutes instead of an hour like most people. Although I didn't get cotton puffs, I used actual bandage wrap, like people used when covering an injury or something. Not too mention the bad taste it gives in your mouth. Ackie-pooie.

... I have never even thought about it. I had a friend who had hers coming through and she just cried because it was so painful, the painkillers she had didn't help and there was nothing we could do.

I have no idea if mine have even come through or not... if they did, I never noticed them... I feel quite unobservant right now 0.o or worried that they have yet to come (in which case... I have no room in my mouth left ;-; and I don't want to have teeth removed)

I got mine removed November 20, 2013, and the only issue I'm still dealing with is my jaw. Everything else is all healed up.

I had gauze, which I stopped using for good later on the same day of the surgery.

See the thing about saying stuff like this is that it's two way, it looks every bit as dumb when you try to apply the verb hack to the word utter, which has no physical form, while all I was doing was used a commonly accepted modern variant of the word 'hack' :|

I just like poking fun at the English language. IRL my friends hate me because I have several sayings that work like the "I don't know, can you?" except that there isn't a more acceptable phrase I'm looking for. I'm fully aware that it can make me look like a smartass, or just plain stupid, hence the second sentence pointing out what was wrong with the first.

If it hurts, you should have them removed ASAP.

It can kill you if left alone when it hurts, I had a friend of mine who tried to do the same thing before I told her she would die from it because I asked my parents.

I probably shouldn't tell you my experience until after you have it done. =u=

Well I mean, they've all been coming in fine, it just hurts because of the whole rearranging jaw thing
