    Alright so..

As of late, my laptop refuses to load anything anywhere on the internet, or connect to any of the games I play. There are times when it works for awhile, and then drops.. and then comes back.... and then drops. <_<

I dunno what's wrong, but I can only assume it's my router, because I can go downstairs and access the internet no problem. D:

    Help? ;_;

I have a similar problem with my laptop. It may be that you wireless card is on it's last legs, n' you may need to replace it. If your laptop is still in warranty call the manufacturer.

My wireless card would work for 'bout 10 mins before it would cut off on me, then i would have to restart the laptop. So i called up n' they walked me through a series of steps to download some drivers n' it seemed to fix the problem slightly, but i'll still need to replace it eventually.

I suggest you phone up n' perhaps ask to get it replced if the card it on it's last legs.

    I don't have a card, I have a box that's hooked up to my Desktop. o.o

Does that mean I should replace my router thingy that's hooked up to my PC?

Try resetting the router (the box).
It'll reset the connection. Then refresh the browser.

I've tried that several times. It works for a few minutes and just dies.

Sounds to me like I have the same problem as Kitty did. Maybe I'll just replace the thing, because it's old. I think we got it 6 years ago. >_>

I've had a problem like that before. Try reinstalling the router, then delete the current network off your laptop and add the new one. Also, what brand name is your router?

    Linksys.

Uh.. how do I do that? Do I re-install the router to the desktop (where it is now), and then connect to it normally through the laptop? Or do I install it on the laptop? D:

    *confused*

My laptop, in which i am on now, is exactly the same way. Sometimes it randomly disconnects. Downstairs the internet doesn't work, upstairs it does. It just depends on where you are connecting to. The further you are from it, the harder it is to connect.

Ok good you have the same as me.

First there should have been a CD your linksys came with called something like "Linksys fix advisor" or something like that. Put that into your laptop and connect your laptop through your modem using the Ethernet jack. Follow the instructions to readd the router. Now make sure your laptop doesn't have the old connection on there or it will screw things up. Once you reinstall your router go here: (also disconnect from the modem)

    www.linksysfix.com/ela

Download that and it will automatically detect your router and add it to your computer. Then it should work fine after that.
