Does anyone else's WMM freeze on them?

This program has always crashed on me when editing videos, but recently, it's been more frequent.

    Thoughts?

Yeah that used to happen to me when I used WMM. Either get a better program or save often. Very often.

well, I use WLMM, but I've never had it freeze on me. But, WMM and WLMM are basically the same thing, and they have a fair share of problems. The best thing for you to do is save whatever you do frequently so you don't lose anything

Honestly, I never use it frequently, but whenever I do use it it works just fine without crashing.
I'd suggest trying to reinstall it, and see if it works (if you haven't done so already).

Luckily, I don't do heavy editing. Right now, the only videos I'm editing are walkthrough videos, and I only edit minor things out, such as level grinding, etc.

Also, I have the AutoRecovery save option set to 1 minute, so that helps a lot, as when I restart it, I can recover what I lost.

well, that's good, but it doesn't matter whether it's something big or little, at least, it doesn't seem to matter to Windows. You just need another program or get used to taking a while, I really can't say anything else. If there was a way, I would have done it by now

Save often, and usually when you dont have much more memory on your hard drive, that's when things really lag. so delete whatever you dont need.

How would I go about reinstalling it? It comes with Windows XP.

That usually happens to me too back when I'm still using WMM.
Perhaps try going to Tools - Options - Compatibility and uncheck the boxes? I left fairly small amount of it and it reduces the crashings to almost none.

Well, that seemed to fix it, and it's even working a little faster now.
