Is anyone else having problems with Windows Messenger freezing up on them as of this morning? Whenever something happens, such as a contact coming online, it freezes, and I can't click anything, not even the menus. Additionally, the online contact remains under Offline. It's not completely frozen, as when I click the icon for it on the start menu, it maximizes, but I can't click anything.
Haven't used Messenger in years. But in a situation like this, I would probably uninstall, then reinstall it.
It's fine for me, it has been for the longest time actually. I had issues at the time of the forced update, but they passed. It might just be an issue of waiting it out.
Like I said, it might've just been a fleeting issue that fixes itself, looks like you shouldn't have much issues again, but if you do there's a good chance with something like MSN it'd just be a temporary one.
Actually yes, I've had this problem a few times, I had it yesterday. I normally get task manager up to close it all, then reopen it and it seems to be okay.
