358/2 Days Will they go to Castle Oblivion

or at least mention it?

 

Mentioning it is unavoidable. Visiting it? Maybe, but highly unlikely. I was thinking about this some time ago, but I wasn't sure.

 

One of the demos from the recent gaming events has a cutscene where Axel asks Roxas to "go to Castle Oblivion sometime".

 

Hmm i don't think they will visit it maybe.

 

I agree mentioning it definetly visiting not propably its a big part of the story but i don't think they will go there just talk about it...

i think that it will be so that they will speak of it and maybe even showing videos of it but the player can't go inside there and play...

 

They will definatly mention it becuz I remember seeing a pic that got released of a convo going down there. It is impossible to tell if that was just some flash back or a current event.

 

They'll talk about it but I'm not sure if they'll go to the place. Can't think of a reason why would they... There could be flashbacks at the castle though.​

 

I doubt they will go there, but they should probably at least mention it. Castle Oblivion has a lot to do with Sora, but indirectly, Roxas.

 

They have to mention it, but I doubt you'll go, especially if most of the game is after CoM.

 

I think they'll mention it, perhaps show a cutscene of it, but I don't think it will be a playable area.

 

It would be so cool if they went there, but I doubt it.

I think what will happen is that will put Oblivion into the game because Roxas has to find out about Sora somehow. Org XIII knows Sora and Roxas can't meet, but they may have a level where Roxas sneaks into the castle and sees Sora, making Roxas curious about who he is. Then he will try to meet him, but end up going to Riku to find him after Oblivion and then we have the whole battle at Memory Skyscraper or something along those lines.

 

I think they might mention it but I highly doubt you'll go there.

 

i think it'd be kind of cool to go there. i personally don't see why they couldn't obviously not during the events of CoM but maybe sometime before or after

 

The game is before, during AND after com.

So for a time Axel wont be with you (leaving xion and roxas alone for some personal time. D: (NOT THAT KIND OF PERSONAL!))

 

well especially then they HAVE to go there... I think that they will and recently i have thought that you can even play there... i don't know when but i would luv it to be so that at the beginning when they show us from which button you hit then you would be at the castle... i would like that:)

 

I have no doubt that it will be mentioned, but I'm not quite sure we would get to go there. The main reason I don't think we will go to Castle Oblivion is the story about Roxas in Another Report. This paragraph especialy.

It had been a few months since Axel had been called to a place called Castle Oblivion on a mission. A handful of other members of the Organization, headed by Marluxia, had also gone there. In that castle’s network of white rooms, the Organization had conducted research. Roxas had no idea what had been researched, nor was he supposed to. Did Axel’s return mean something had happened at Castle Oblivion?

If Roxas was not supposed to know what was being researched I doubt he would of been invited to visit Castle Oblivion. The chance of Roxas finding out what the research was about(accidental or not) would be unnecessarily higher if he was at Castle Oblivion so I doubt Xemnas would send him on a mission there. As for Roxas sneaking in, I highly doubt it. He didn't show any particular interest in what they were researching so I doubt he would risk crossing the Superior just to poke his nose around. Also when Roxas asked if Marluxia and the other came back it seemed genuine, so he obviously didn't know about the events that happen in CoM. As for Roxas finding out about Sora, well I blame that on Xigbar calling him Sora, which make Roxas more curious about this other Keyblade master. Dame you Xigy and your big mouth XP. Well that's my two cents.

 

I could see some cutscenes taking place at Castle Oblivion. Towards the beginning maybe.
In reference to the post above me, I wonder if Xion was/is aware of what is or was happening in Castle Oblivion.
In kinda depends on when this all takes place, in the long run.
Roxas was born RIGHT after the whole ordeal in Hollow Bastion in KH1.
It's clear that when Axel and Vexen are talking in Castle Oblivion - Twilight Town that Roxas clearly exists DURING the Chain of Memories plot.
So, will 358/2 days take place during, immediately after, or sometime after Chain of Memories?
