Kingdom Hearts II Why the Xs?!?!?!!?

Did anyone else notice all the Xs in kh2? at the beginning, for instance, roxas and his friends all have necklaces with an x on them. also, riku has one on his shirt, and sora has one on the red cargo pocket of his shorts!what does it mean?!?!?!?!? will someone please explain?

 

Maybe Nomura is obessed with the letter X .

 

Maybe people don't appreciate the letter X? Either that.... Or Phisoxa's theory.... And there's also an X on Sora's behind.

 

Maybe it's a kool charm or it symbolizes conflict with the organization...I dunno...

 

Well I don't know much about the clothing (could just be coincidence), but X often symbolizes something unknown or perhaps a mistake. Thats why I think Organization XIII have the X in there name.
As to the clothing and necklaces though, X is a very common shape/image, just look around the room you are in now and I'm sure you'd find some.

 

well, im in a hospital where my dad works, so i dont see any currently. but i just wanted to make sure that is i where an x im not pledgiing my allegiance to organization xiii or something.


p.s. organization xiii is called that because of the roman numeral, meaning 13. so the x isnt supposed to be a letter, its a number!

Oh I know about the Roman Numeral thing, I'm just talking about the individual member's name. Roxas, Axel, Demyx, Xigbar...etc.

 

X stands for the unknown. We use it in math for that. XD Like 3 times a number= 3x.

Or n for those of you who use n.

I think X in a name stands for the mystery of that person. He's not obsessed with X's just that it stands for the unknown like I said. XD

 

X is used for something having to do with the Greek language.

Most likely used for its meaning of unknown.

 

I think it is like everyone else is saying, it is a symbol of the unknown.



However I also like to think of it as connecting, an X shows two lines crossing and meeting, I like to think that in the case of KH it is showing how all their paths are connected and cross, "One sky, one Destiny"


I know that sounds a little far fetched, but it is what I think :P

For the organization the X is a way of uniting them together and reflects the "unknown" aspect of them :P ​

 

Prolly because of the Organization, who use it to symbolize their brotherhood and the fact that they are a shell of their formers selves.
