This is my theory for why Roxas uses the Oathkeeper and the Oblivion when he dual weilds. Roxas use the Oathkeeper to show that, in some way, he is connected to Kairi.(ex.- When Roxas fell off the Clock Tower and was able to speak with Kairi) The reason why he weilds the Oblivion is because of the darkness that was forced upon Sora and turned him into a heartless. Please comment on my theory.

i always thought it was because of his light and dark sides....
(Dark being his time in the Orgy and light being later on in the future)

Yeah. I don't mean to burst your bubble, but, this isn't really a theory. It's almost common knowledge to anyone who understands the whole Light and Darkness concept, and the bonds of Roxas to Kairi, Sora and Riku.

    But you are basically right.

^Ditto, basically Oathkeeper is the bond that Sora has with Kairi, while Oblivion is the bond he has with Riku.

*applauses* Very good theory! I must say I never thinked of that. Also, Oathkeeper stands for promise keeper. Meaning the promise that Sora made to kairi began to affect Roxas ability to wield Oathkeeper...

Yeah, basically what they said. The Oathkeeper represents (sp?) Soras memories of Kairi, Oblivion is Soras Memories of Riku. :)

Actually, after much research, the oathkeeper represents Kairi, and the Oblivion represents Riku. Roxas is the representation of Sora, and he is depicted carrying the lives(keyblades) that represent his friendships with kairi, the oathkeeper, and Riku, the Oblivion.:rockdover:
