    I really don't see the point I mean it's just a hair colour it doesn't chage who a person is, this is just like picking on some one about their skin colour, there is no need for it, it's just stupid. Don't you all agree?

    DEFINATLY. I'm CONSTANTLY picked on...just because I'm short, pale, blonde, and different from others....it's not fair....it hurts my feelings....

    I agree. It's degrading people of their looks, and I find it mean. I know how it feels because of my heritage. Hte kept on making fun of me for being from this certain country. I just find it cruel.

    I never understood why kids in the UK have so much disdain for red hair.

    It's almost taught to kids from a young age here. Humorous characters have red hair and usually a bad temper. I have ginger in my hair (when it's not dyed). I certainly find it annoying to be teased. People are often singled out if they are different and ginger hair isn't all that common. I work with a guy with a ginger beard and he really gets teased at times.

    Yeah, that's why people do it. They want to put themselves above others so that they will be noticed more for making fun of that person. It annoys me so much when people do that.

    Lawls...because gingers have no souls...>=D

    MUAHAHAHAAAAA!!!!

    KILL THE GINGERS!!!!

    ...no seriously though...people make fun of gingers because...well...I have no idea how else to put this...ginger people look funny? It is offensive and ******ed that even I think like this, but ginger people do look so different then most others that...well...making fun of them is considered okay I guess.

    They have so much pigment in their skin, that it's tinted red, their hair is flaring orange, they're often pale yet red, leading to freckles, their hair is often curly. I find this particular look to be funny.

    I'm sorry to anyone I may have offended, but it's just how I feel. I know I SHOULDN'T feel this way, because of how wrong it is, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't. I have no way to justify my reactions to a ginger person, and therefore I hardly deserve to post in this thread...

    ...lawls but I did anyway...xO

    Ignoring them is not always easy, especially when it escalates to physical and emotional bullying. Some people are so insecure it seems that they can only feel better when they are picking on someone else. Ginger hair is striking to notice, so it seems that this acts as a draw to such people. I think it's jealousy in many cases.

    It's ok Cin. At least you are honest to admit your feelings and admit that you know that they are wrong. It's human nature to laugh at others I think. It's sad but true.

    Of course it's wrong. There is no need to pick on people at all. And I think red hair is pretty cool. I have a few friends that I wish I could steal their hair. But of course I would look bad with red hair.

    I think it's mainly because red hair is so different to other hair colours that it stands out. And people are naturally afraid of things which are different, some people react to this fear with anger, predjudice and even violence.

    What is that supposed to mean? Wikipedia is very accurate considering it's on the internet. It also makes sense, things like like pointless predjudice tend to stem from out-of-date beliefs and superstitions. Things that have been passed down and really need to be forgotten/disregarded.

    Wow, what Roxllen posted was very interesting...but it does seem to me that people need to drop those silly ideas that came from superstitions.

    I, for one, actually find people with ginger colored hair cool. I wish my hair was that color, but sadly...it's not.
