Why does Sonic '06 suck so much..?

 

Dunno.

 

Because Sega and Sonic Team tried to bite off way more than they could chew, and rushed to meet the deadline of their anniversary. And they fired their beta testers.
And they have terrible writers
And they were under the assumption that people would just keep buying Sonic no matter what they made
Now, I think a better question is: How did Game Grumps manage to take a terrible game... and somehow make it seem even worse.

 

Why is Sonic a good game?

 

My absolute favourite Sonic game(s).

 

They expect people to buy sonic just because and then the fans realise that their new version is not too great. It's all money, my friend.

I swear, the soundtrack is the game's most redeeming quality but NOTHING can save it from the pits of mediocrity

 

I played it back in 2006, made it to Silver and he was so ****ING ANNOYING WITH HIS "IT'S NO USE!" That I never beat him until last night when I borrowed my uncle's Xbox

 

All I remember was that Sonic Adventure 2 Battle was the last great Sonic game, according to my opinion and a general consensus of the fanbase. I've never bought the other games after that, but boy have I heard some terrible things about it. Particularly plot-wise and gameplay-wise.

I suppose there really is no hope now for Sonic... we can only count on our miracles.

 

Sonic Colors and Generations tho.

Redemption.

 

Because it's not Sonic the Hedgehog.

 

Not a fan of the lyrics but the instrumental is pretty awesome.

Sonic team and Sega wanted to release the game for the hedgehog's sixteenth anniversary, but when the fans persistently nagged the game to be released for Sonic's fifteenth anniversary, this put Sonic Team under time pressure and had to rush the game for it to be out by the deadline. This resulted in a very buggy, unpolished, mess of a game. So if the Sonic fans start blaming SEGA for sonic '06, they can only blame themselves.

Another thing that made this game bad, was that they tried to remake the entire series, hence why it is called Sonic The Hedgehog, let me explain, SEGA wanted to make the games fresh, new, something different from the other 3D Sonics. So SEGA decided to make a new, completely different Sonic game, the game strayed too far from the original games, so they decided to "remake" the series, this being the debut, and work outwards from there. We all know the outcome, so remember game developers, don't make a game you are **** at making.

 

So it was the reboot, making it the DmC: Devil may Cry of Sonic?

I get it now.

 

But it's not, it's been retconned from existence as far as Sonic Team are concerned, they want nothing to do with it. It was also never intended as a reboot.

 

But DMC was actually a decent game. Sonic '06? Not so much.[DOUBLEPOST=1362763360][/DOUBLEPOST]

So is that why they added in Crisis City into Generations?
