Why do you play video games?

To have fun, to kill time, just to finish the story in the fastest time, etc etc...

I mainly play to kill time. But Somtimes I play video games because I want to compete with a friend (eg. Trying to kick my bf's ass in guitar hero... Still haven't succeeded in that... >>') but mainly to kill time and have fun.

 

It's more fun when you know people that are either playing the same game as you, or are trying to compete against you. Of course they're for fun, video games are pretty interesting things afterall.

 

um...
am i weird if i have different reasons to why i play games other than just for fun and to relieve stress...?

 

Umm...to have fun, either by myself or with some friends...thats the whole point, isn't it?

Basically to have fun.
To kill time.
& To beat my brother.

I got hooked on Teken 4 a while ago and wouldn't stop until I reached at least one final round. I quit. Another game I got hooked on was Jak II, I played it non-stop for over two weeks. I find that if I'm bored I can finish a game one-three days/1week max.

 

I play games to train myself so I can fight when Judgment Day comes and Skynet activates.

I play video games because I have nothing better to do. So I end up playing a LOT. Either that, I play Brawl so I can take out some anger. Every random object hates me.

I've been playing video games for as long as I can remember. They're just fun. I am one of the people that goes for high scores once they beat the game all the way though. I have all five stars in MegaMan 2 Battle Network.

 

Ehh...video games are just a fun part of my day. Especially when I don't have much to do.

 

I play video games to escape from the real world. 'Cuz the real world ain't so grand. I also play when I'm bored, because nothing beats boredom like beating a monster up! Who can't agree with logic like that? I am also a TOTAL sucker for collecting objects in the game... And customizing... @.@

 

I play video games to express my imagination through the screen.
It's more to it, I get to CONTROL someone, make them do whatever I please. I could make them jump off a cliff, and it would only say "Game Over." I could just start again if I wished.
It indeed is fun, but I enjoy it to get to accomplish something, and brag about it to someone who cares later.

 

I've looked at video games the same way since day one. I don't play games with the simple fact of learning every single newonce so that I can completely pown someone and call myself happy. I'm in it for the experience and the story, it's the same with movies or books for me.

Since HS, with my busy life now, I look at video games more as a reprieve from reality and as a way to let the stress of work roll away on weekends.

 

I mainly play single-player RPGs, and I often just enjoy seeing the story unfold. That being said, I mainly play them when I have little else to do nowadays.
I don't care about high scores or other kinds of achievements.

 

I mostly play Video games to have fun while I Kill some time when I'm bored. After I got through with most of the stuff I've to do at home I sit and play something till something else comes up. I usually like playing single-player-RPG games, but I also love games that I can play with my buddies or...my mother. It's fun to play RPGs for the stories and etc...and the rest are something fun to play when with buddies. It's better than staring at the ceiling all day when your buddies crash at your place.
