I dont see the point of ditching your PSP just for the PSP VITA. A lot of people are saying "Ok, Im ditching my PSP for the VITA" for no reason at all. There are still a lot of PSP titles coming for the PSP (even though most of them will be available at the PSN Store). Yeah I get it, its a new system but we dont even know 5% of the titles for the VITA.
What I think, most of the good UMD-only games are not on the PSN Store (depending on your region and what you think is a good PSP game). There were plans for Birth By Sleep being on the PSN store as Tetsuya Nomura stated before but Tetsuya Nomura has not officially confirmed this yet which means Birth By Sleep and all your favorite UMD-only games are going down the toilet if you ditch your PSP for the VITA.
As for the download-only games they are good to go on the VITA but if you dont want the VITA yet and want to wait till a game gets your attention and gives you a reason to get it then get a new memory stick or keep your PSP Go (that was it's original role) that you've been keeping in your closet for years (if you haven't threw it out the window yet).
What are your opinions KH-Vids people? Ditch the PSP for a new system?
    EDIT:
I plan on having both PSP and the VITA but I dont have any plans or reason to get the VITA yet. Heck, Im still hunting down a brand new PSP Go for my download-only games.

I ain't giving up my PSP, and I have no intention of wasting my money on the VITA. As long as my consoles work, and I still enjoy the games I have, I usually don't get rid of something just because "the next best thing" came out. Sadly, KH3D will be for the 3DS, I only have a normal DS, and the KH games I have for it still work. (as does the DS). So, I'm having problems in that field.

As for the VITA, this is a form of redemption I'm sure with the failure and pissed reactions of the PSP-Go. Downloadable games are ok. But for me, I prefer to actually hold the game and not just have it as data/waste more memory space.

Is the Vita not backwards compatible?

Yeah, I don't see myself getting a VITA anytime soon. Maybe by 2 years if there are enough games that interest me. I'm already satisfied with my PSP and 3DS.

No it's not backwards compatible. There is no place for UMD's to go in it.
However, you can have PSP games that are download-only in the Vita.

I'm keeping my PSP and getting the PSVita.

I like my PSP. It's red and shiny and has a lot of good games. The PSVita is getting FFX HD. That reason alone is why I'm getting one.

I love my PSP too much to give it up.
It would honestly break my heart.
And though the Vita looks rather epic...I think that I shall wait, either until I actually have money,or until we get to discover what games are going to be on it.

Also Equa. My PSP is red and shiny aswell. PSP twin buddeh? <33

There's no way I'm giving up my PSP, but this isn't to say that I don't look froward to the Vita, because it's definitely something I'll be getting, right next to the 3DS.

I'm only buying a 3DS for KH3D. For the Vita, it's Gravity Daze/Whatever, FFX HD and the Uncharted game. Or a Type-0 port if it ever happens.

Even if I just get a console for one game, I will end up getting some great games for the console. I got a PSP just for BBS, and now I've got several good games on the PSP. I'm sure the same will happen with my new 3DS.

I had this problem. But, you do know that you can play DS games on a 3DS right?

As the machine has no disc slot, not entirely. Anything downloaded reportedly works, but there's nowhere to put UMDs in.

I want a Vita, but I'm going to be the odd one here and say I don't give a crap about the touch screen or touch controls, give me a D-Pad and Square, X, Triangle, and Circle and I'm happy.

But I'm going to hold off on the Vita until it's hacked so I can play my backedup copy of KH2FM on it.
