Kingdom Hearts Who is the composer of Kairi's letter?

It's a beautiful passage or poem, but who is the composer?

 

I agree, it is quite pretty. Chances are it was simply Nomura or someone else who was developing the game, although I think it has a definite Disney vibe to it.

Uhmm... didn't Kairi herself write it? That's what I always thought.

 

I think it may have been written by Nomura himself due to it ebing in the KH1 Secret cutscene

 

They meant who actually wrote the poem for Kairi to say, like one of the creators. It could be Nomura, but now I'm really interested too.

It was probably Nomura himself, either that or someone else on the staff.
The poem sorta does lose some of it's meaning in english though, since Sora is the japanese name for sky.

It's much more poetic to think she did it, not one of the games developers ._.

I agree with Christhor, it loses some of it's meaning when translated, just like Hikari/Simple and Clean or Passion/Sanctuary

Hikari's lyrics are beautiful and don't have anything to deal with Simple and Clean ones >.>

Definitly, they were made specifically for the japanese language, which means they don't translate well at all. A shame really.

 

Well that's part of the reason that Utada decided to stop doing the music for Kingdom Hearts; writing new lyrics for songs while still making them fit into the song and sound natural is incredibly difficult. The Japanese ones are always better, imo.

I find the poem pretty interesting given BBS's release,[spoiler the lines "There are many worlds, but they share the same sky. One sky, one destiny," and going that Sora = sky, it kind of makes me think that whoever wrote the letter was saying that everyone is related to Sora -- Vanitas, Ven, Roxas, etc.[/spoiler]

 

But, wasn't the original poem in english, and afterwards translated into Japanese? I mean, it was originally written in Englsih, and then translated into Japanese.
If that is true, then it might have more substance in its phrases in Englsih than in Japanese.
