What are your reasons for wanting Obama?

I'm only fourteen, i don't really have a favorite for this election because i'm not gonna be able to vote in it. I don't really follow politics at all, actually. They kinda bore me.

I agree that Barack Obama should win the election, but chances are McCain is going to win.

I choose Obama. I heard he's going to make the world a better place for us all while the female one I forgot her name said she would remove all games that has the word violence on it.

I'm a strong Obama supporter, but I think McCain would be equally ad good as him, if not better. America really needs a Republican right now to restore the economy. A democrat would do well too in my opinion, but I think they would spend too much. As for Hillary, she's a fine politician (I live in New York, I would know), but I don't agree with some of her campaign goals.

That's a tad extreme. She wanted to make it harder for children to say "Yea, I'm 18!" and instantly receive an M video game. Don't forget, to completely remove the video game (as long as it's content is legal) is violating the 1st Amendment. Also, if you really want that video game, guess what? If you're under 18 you have parents or guardians who can get it for you. And if they don't want to get it for you, than wait until you actually are 18. No big deal there.

I live in Canada so I could care less...

but I think Barack Obama, since he has a lot of good points. And it would change the world, having a black president. But really, Bush should stay in office :D:D He's fcuking awesome. [/sarcasm]

I don't know much about the election, but I've heard some of Obama's speeches and think he's talking the truth.

Obama is anti-Iraq-War, and during his time being the Illinois Senator, he did a lot of good things for Illinois. That's not saying Hillary didn't do good things for New York, or McCain for Arizona, but Obama has a lot of revolutionary ideas that his supporters would like to see in America.

Obama is one of the most inspirational speakers since Kennedy. He can get the room roaring hard for him and by the end of his speech everyone's on their feet, clapping loudly.

I am hoping Obama will win. I suppose I can live with McCain because even though I disagree with some of the platforms he stands on, I do not dislike the guy and think he'd do an earnest job. Hillary just cannot be trusted, in my book, at all. I do lean more to Obama though because I think it's time to have a democrat. It's a necessity at times that Reps and Dems switch up, since they are the only two choices we even really have (which I think sucks because it wasn't always this way). I know the economy needs fixed but that is mainly this time -caused- by the Republicans and also the Clinton administration. I really prefer to see someone new and Obama seems to have the motivation to do the work and his lack of 'experience' as Hillary pointed out...that's what advisers are for. He seems to have commonsense, which is something that has been severely lacking in the office with all of the cowboy politics we've had for over a decade now.

If we pull people from Iraq, that will help fix the economy. If we get back to dealings with Afghanistan and support troops better there where we -should- be, that would also help. The education system does need reformed to better support kids and help stop violence. The medical system does need to cover people better. I may have to pay some more taxes but we are incredibly in debt against ourselves because the Republicans pulled so much money from the Federal Bank and we -really- have to fix this. I don't want to be ruled by the freaking Federal Reserve. It's trashing this country.

I still say that John Edwards should have been the next president. Because he is no longer in the race, I'd call myself an Obama supporter, but I don't think any of the candidates are necessarily bad. I'd be content with Clinton or McCain.

If your biggest concern regarding the upcoming election is which candidate will be most lenient with violence in video games, you are not in a position to be arguing politics.

I would have to say I agree and disagree with you here. Biggest concern, sure...it's not so right, but at the same time, I do think it should be a concern. Part of the problem with politics now is a loss of rights for people to include what video games our kids can and cannot play. This also goes into the rights of music, movies etc and television shows, what can air and cannot. When adults are being treated as children and we cannot make decisions ourselves on what our kids do and do not, and what -we- can watch and cannot, there is a problem of a nation getting into your very living room, ruling your family. I do think it is important to see what some people want to take away from us because I feel we've lost enough rights already over stupid lobbyists and fundamentalists etc.

Obama. They're all imperfect, but he's the best bet, really. Plus, it'd be "interesting" to have a black president. Maybe we would finally end up doing something with all those racists.

    I agree.

And the part about me still wanting Bush, I just don't like a big change I guess. I don't really know too much about politics, so I really don't know much about him. I just know he has been president for awhile.

And what negative things are those? Did you research whether they were -legitimate- claims against him, or what the entire story behind what they were? Not to mention, was it Fox News?

Fox News has been just hideous to Obama. They really just love Hillary for some reason I haven't figured out yet. She flat out lied about her 'experience' she was touting right on television and yet Obama is getting slammed for what -other- people say or do. I'm just in shock really at how biased Fox is being, but then again I gave up on them for true accurate news long ago. BBC and CNN, Reuters...or direct country related news I will check out before ever taking Fox seriously. Sadly, I feel guilty that I think the Daily Show and Colbert Report have more accurate news and joke about it righteously than Fox does. Makes me wonder who is actually watching Fox News.
