Kingdom Hearts II who did you fight alongside/against in the Land of Dragons?

You fight against/alonsgside some guy dressed in an Orginazation coat, bashing off Rapid Thrusters.
Some cutscenes later, the man in the cloak reveils himself. It is (trumruffle) XIGBAR!!

But hey, wait... Xigbar uses two single-handed snipers... And if you look at Xigbar's fighting style a few minutes ago,
he's just using another kind of weapon to get rid of the Rapid Thrusters.
Sora also mentiones that it could be Riku who's under that cloak.

So Xigbar always uses his single-handed snipers to fight, right?
But he didn't at the Heartless onslaught. Who were you fighting alongside anyway? Could it really have been Riku?

 

It was Riku, he just disappeared later, and you were following Xigbar. That was Riku's blade, it's distinctive with its colors, and curved style. Plus, the man's attitude after the fight made him Riku, in my eyes. No one else could make fun of Sora with a single gesture.

 

Yes, that sounds logical.

 

Aye, it was Riku since he's the only one that possesses that type of keyblade in the game.

 

He also went easy during the fight because he didn't really want to hurt Sora either.

 

It was Riku. He just disappeared after that.

 

Yeah it was definetly Riku, besides Xigbar seemed to move differently (like a coward in a way, which confuses me since he is one of the stronger enemies) and the Emperor (why can't I spell tonight) did say that he met Riku.

 

also riku doesnt flinch a bit when you hit him unlike the organization members

 

Xigbar isn't a coward, he's just funny. If he was a coward, he wouldn't help you out when you fight him, I'm talking about whenever he says, "Heads up!" and "Reload!". That actually saved him a lot. ​

Since it's true. The game itself already tells you it was him, in a way. Plus Xigbar has skinny arm sleeves, while Riku has the baggy? sleeves.​

 

*****, I should slap you for even bringing this up. Its so obvious that its Riku that the mere thought of anything coming close to this thought of yours would be burned in an instant. Did you not see the weapon? I mean, hell, thats Riku's weapon. It was obvious from the start >.>

 

Riku, it's pretty much obvious. I believe it is mentioned that he helped Sora through out his journey as well.

 

Riku was the first guy that Sora saw and it was the one he battles. Xigbar just happened to appear soon after, making Sora think it wasn't Riku after all.

At first it was riku, but later xigbar came. (i was fangirl squealig when i saw riku's blade.)

 

It was for sure Riku. Remember that Riku didn't want to be found at the time, so I guess he used Xigbar as a cover up. Made Sora follow him and disappeared into the shadows. I mean, that does seem pretty logical. Plus Riku would know Sora wouldn't know the difference until the hood was taken off. Pretty smart on his part. XD

 

on the first visit goofy and mulan but the second mulan and donald for wisdom form.

 

he was asking who the boss was that was wearing an organization robe on the second visit. Not who you had in your party.

 

i knew that *laughs* na but for real i thought it was riku i never suspected xigbar

 

IT WAS RIKU AT THE BEGINNING! later on riku disappeared, and xigbar showed up! (sora could probably never tell the differance) -_- "'
