Kingdom Hearts II Where did Riku's new keyblade come from?

Riku had Soul Eater, we know that. In the fight in Land of Dragons, he still has Soul Eater. Then all of a sudden he has Way to the Dawn! How does that happen? I'm not dissen' on the keyblade, I like it as you may see. But where did it come from? And why? Did Riku just decided to make a new keyblade? Or did it just randomly spawn out of Darkness and find it's way to him? These questions must be answered!

 

Refresh my memory, did Riku have the Way to Dawn as soon as the World That Never Was, or did he get it when his true form was revealed after Ansem the Wise, sacrificed himself?

 

i think that he got it when ansem the wise's toy blew up and casting the heartless ansem in riku to be destroyed in the light,and soul was i think being used by the darkness in riku and since the darkness was gone from him he could use the keyblade of twilight since in a way he has both darkness and light in his heart

this also means theres a big ass plot hole between the time riku had soul-eater and way to the dawn.

to answer your question: no one knows the answer for sure.

hmmm... thinking about it I'd have to say sure that plot hole exists but my guess would have to be something like after Chain of memories when Ansem the wise made Riku choose and he replied "the way to dawn" following me right so that has to be where the plot hole goes. what I can think up is something like he had to suppress the darkness but when retrieving roxas he had to use it. maybe when he used one of roxas' keyblades he gained way to dawn because the keyblade was like the key chain or reactant to cause the change....

Well I think he was just walking around the realm of darkness eating a muffin and minding his own business when he saw it on the ground and decided to take it. So he threw his muffin on the ground and then he grabbed it and became a keyblade master. The End!

Aha!! Plot hole!! Exactally, I think that his weapon wasn't cool enough for Tytsua and he just had to make Riku a new one.

 

...so i guess u missed that sercret cutscene of where king mickey gives Riku the keyblade in Hollow Bastion...
