when i multiply fractions...

    i multiply straight across and then just reduce, right?
    or is there some odd lame math trick to those too?

    Cross multiplying is for finding equivalency, there is no trick to multiplying fractions so he's got it. Numerator is numerator 1 times numerator 2, denominator is denominator 1 times denominator 2, then simplify if possible.

    No no no, cross multiplying only works when you have one fraction set equal to another. To answer your question, you just multiply across, yes.

    I made a mistake in what I said, I believe. Not cross multiply, cross divide maybe? I don't even remember. When you take numerator 1 and denominator 2 and cross them out-ish?
    ex. 4/3 x 18/8 = 1/1 x 6/2 = 6/2 = 3
