When Did We Turn into California?

Summer 2012:

• Taylor Bridge wildfire
• Table Mountain wildfire

Summer 2013:

• Goldendale wildfire, started July 24
  - It was fully contained a while ago, as far as I know (it was at 65% containment when Colockum Tarps was only at 5%-8%)
• Colockum Tarps wildfire, started July 27
  - 95% contained as of today
• Lightning strike from last night's storm caused a wildfire on the other side of the Columbia River from where the Colockum Tarps wildfire is
• Lightning strike from last night's storm caused a wildfire near the end of my aunt's property, but on the other side of Vantage Highway
  - My mom noticed it this afternoon and later her and my aunt noticed a dead tree stump. My mom believes lightning struck the tree and it smoldered all night until combustion today.

 

I swear I keep reading "Colockum" as "Cocklum."

 

Correction on the last one on the list: It was an electrical problem with a power pole.
