What's your favorite Star Wars movie?

I'm just curious. Mine would have to be The Empire Strikes Back for it's plot twists and just pure originality. It introduced Yoda, Boba Fett, and showed hints of Darth Vader beneath the mask, AND had such classic lines such as "I am your father", which even a non-SW fan can appreciate.

 

My favorite is A New Hope because it started the whole series and it just gives me fuzzy feelings every time I watch it. A New Hope has this "magic feeling" for me. The Force was like a special thing (not only in that, but in episodes IV-VI) and then it reached the Prequel and it seemed like millions of people had it. So... that's why I like A New Hope best. I also like it because of the part when the stormtrooper bonks his head on the door... but that's not a real reason. :p

 

I'd have to say Return of the Jedi because in it Luke is like a total badass. Like at the beginning, when he just walked right in and choked that pig guy and just kept walking. And when he jumped off the plank, spun around, grabbed the edge, flipped up, caught his lightsaber, and landed like it was nothing!:D

 

Yeah! I love that, and it was completely unintentional, as well. Then they gave tribute to that scene in Attack of the Clones with Jango.

 

To be honest, I like all of them, but Reutrn of the Jedi gets my vote, because Luke kicks total *** in it ^_^

 

I love The Empire Strikes Back. I love the way suddenly the heroes don't have the upper hand and the twists that get them to where the film ends. Darth Vader telling Luke who he was was brilliant.

They are all good films though, and I own copies of all of them.

 

Revenge of Sith `cause Darth Vader comes in that part and then the movie (I can`t remeber which was it! Help me o.o) Wheres the classic of ALL movies: "I am your father!" :D

 

I'd say "Revenge of the Sith", though i've only watced the three latest movies.

Ha ha. The "I am your father" line comes from Empire Strikes Back, like Jade mentioned in the first post. *points* :)

 

Eh, not too much of a Star Wars fan, but The Phanton Menace was okay. My brother is actually Star Wars fan, and he'd probably say Revenge of the Sith.

 

Heh?! ^^ Well, i was never really interested in Star wars till i saw the first movie of the new trilogy. Maybe one day......

Empire Strikes Back is the best, RotS was a disappointment but, after AotC, I would have accepted Teletubbies with lightsabers.

Anyway, my favourite Star Wars film was Revenge of the Sith. I know I said I think the best Science Fiction film is SW: A New Hope but I prefer NO.III. Good action, the actors displayed great emotion and we see how Anakin is put into the Darth Vader suit.

 

I loved ROTS because I'm a huge special effects fan.....and the effects in that movie were simply amazing......and because it was the one that ties in with ANH.

 

Wow. *blinks* This really took off while I was gone. I'm surprised that RotS is the leader by about 25 votes; I would have thought more people would prefer the original trilogy.

What I didn't like about RotS was Anakin's fall to the Dark Side; it was all "Oh no, bad Dark Side, bad!" then all of a sudden "YAY DARK SIDE!"

It's like Palpatine said "Ani, you can have a cookie if you join me..."
Anakin: "I don't like cookies, they're evil..."
Palpy: "I'll give you cake..."
Ani: "YAY CAKE!" *several special effects later* "OH EM GEE! I ISH TEH DARTH VADER! PH34R MEH!"

Obi-Wan and Bail Organa were amazing, as were the clone troopers (whom I love), but I didn't like Anakin's fall. *shrug*

 

lol, same. He kinda submitted to the Dark Side a bit too quickly for me.
