Square-Enix What's the most difficult Boss that you have fought?

What do you think is the most difficult boss battle in any of the Final Fantasy games? I think it has to be Penance from FFX, that took me so many hours and I lost track of how many times I died lol, I actually cried when I beat it because it was such a relief :D

 

Hmmm... S-E side? I wasnt interested in the FF series to get my mits on FF... im crazy like that my brain WONT let me play games out of order.... it just doesnt work like that yo! But it would have to be KH2 Sephiroth i spent unknown hours trying to kill him to get my fenrir.. *give keyblade a hug* Ow! I forgot its all sharp and stuff :P

But besides S-E it was Hamidon.... *shudders* oh the memories *rocks in corner*

Hamidon is a giant blob in City of Heroes... it fights you by spawning monster class (second only to a Arch-Villian or a giant monster) which means its tough as hell. Every 15 minutes it spawns one monster for EVERY HERO IN THE ZONE!! Thats like 150-200 giving it all just to damage Hami it self... soo many mosters... *twich* not to mention it takes FOREVER to kill Hami you can only damage it when all the monsters are dead and that takes a looonnngg time. My last hami raid last 2 DAYS.... 2 DAYS!!! *goes off to huddle in a corner*

 

the hardest boss for me was sinspawn gui from ffX. i know that was a really easy boss but i was new to the game and i didnt have any p downs so you can imagine what happed to me

 

I would have to narrow it down to three. Zodiark from final fantasy XII, the 3rd seymour battle from final fantasy X, and Trema from final fantasy X-2.

 

You have my respect forever as me and my friends still havn't beaten that damn thing :( *pet pet* there there at least you beat him! Also please don't hug sharp pointy things :p yeah Sephiroth was one tough meanie lol I blanked that battle out of my mind, but trust me Penance is uber evil... eep scary!

I had no problem with the Seymour fights but yeah Trema was tough until you figure out the method :D that took me a while to figure out and it kinda sucks getting your *** kicked by some tiny old dude :( lol

 

My toughest bosses so far are...

Well my top 3 tough boss battles have to be...

#3: the Ice-like Cerberus from DMC 3

#2: The guardian that protects the guliding light in DMC

#1: Sephiroth from KH!

 

Mine would be:

1. Ice Titan in KH1
2. Sephiroth in KH1

That's all really, everything I beat the first time around.

 

i dunno maybe kh1 sephy took awhile but it took maybe 2-3 tries in kh2

 

Erm, the final boss in Legend of Dragoon, I had a couple of forms to deal with.

 

So far Ultamecia....>.> stupid attack that kills you in one hit...xD

 

Death in Harmony of Dissonance. I remember when I beat him. We were on break for Intro to Psychology and I beat him. xD I started doing this crazy victory dance and people were staring...so I sat down.

Hardest SE boss? Final Form Xemnas. That stupid 99 laser thing got me everytime...not to mention I kept thinking how that jacket fit him rather snugly...which messed up my concentration and...I'm fairly sure this is the Nyquil talking by now.

 

Ruby and emerald weapon from Final fantasy 7.. still havent defeated them after 10 years :(

For me...

Seymour Flux from FFX (That's the seymour on Mt. Gagazet). He was SOOO hard. The strategy guide itself even said that beating him would be very hard no matter what you did. Luck played a big factor in that battle.

Anybody ever played Arc the Lad: Twilight of the Spirits??? The Final Boss, the Lord of the Black Abyss. He was pretty hard, and it took like an hour to beat him. He had LOTS of hp.

Ice Titan from KH. Everyone says he was easy, but for some reason I could never beat him. Sephiroth in KH2, no problem. Ice titan in KH1, impossible. lol

Yunalesca from FFX

the first time I fought her, she w as sOOO hard. She has 3 froms and each form has more hp than the last. The worst part was that her last form casts mega death (which kills everyone that's not affected by zombie) instantly. I didn't know that having zombie would save you though, so as soon as that 3rd form came, I always died. lol. Now though, I crush her. Just like Seymour Flux from FFX. I dominate that whole game now. lol. I don't have international, so I've never faced Penance.

And.... I guess that's about it. I'll add some more as they come to me.

 

I would say maybe the Ruby & Emerald weapon from Final Fantasy 7. Those guys are tough!!!

 

She was really difficult the first time I played too! lol Zombie is a catch 22! It saves you when she does megadeath but then she casts regen which kills zombies lol! Yeah I know what you mean because now when I play it I have no difficulty whatsoever with her lol!

Gagazet Seymour was a b*t*h when he did that lance of atrophy thing and cross flare! Jeez that killed me a few times! Ha you're lucky if you've never had to face Penance! Is there much difference between versions?

Not really. The biggest difference between the 2 versions is that in the International version there are bosses that aren't in the regular version. Penenace is one. The international version also has the Dark Aeons.

 

Ah! Thankyou! I always wondered! Maybe you should borrow someones so you can fight them too, the dark aeons aren't tooooo difficult once you figure out the trick to defeating them. I'm telling you if you beat Penance you get such a feeling of major achievement :D

It's worth getting the version just for that!

Can't. The international version can only be played on a PAL PS2. International was never released in North America. If I wanna play it, I'd have to buy a european ps2, or modify the ps2 I have. An American ps2 can't recognize the game.
