Birth by Sleep What's next?

I'm probably jumping the gun here, but what does everything the next game, after BBS, will be?

Will it be about the letter Sora, Riku and Kairi read from the King, an opening to KH3?
Will it be about Riku's time between after KH1 and before KH2?
Or will it be something entirely different?

 

That would be my guess... I don't see a need for another storyline based off one of the previous games. It's time to move forward with the original plot.

 

That is what Coded was about I thought? Coded does take place after KH II

 

Yeah, Coded is about the letter. Maybe they'll leave some huge hang-off at the end of the episodes.

 

That's true, but when the gang from Destiny Islands receive the letter we don't know how much time could have passed. The letter could be about the events of coded for all we know. It just tells us that Sora has another adventure to begin.

I do agree I want this one the most, but Nomura is not very predictable.

He's shown interest in creating a Riku centered game and also noted down in the 'Another Report', that Riku's absence is a story that still needs to be told.

Obviously Roxas is done, I believe Xehanort's past is covered in BBS whilst Mickey's time will be explained in coded.
Riku's story is still up for grabs.

 

If we HAVE to get another filler game, I want it to be either A Kairi-centered game (A sidescroller KH = want), or KH1 from Riku's POV. Not much else could be done at this point, I say just get to KH3.

 

All Nomura says is its the mystery Kingdom Hearts which will be more official than the three side stories, it may also not be Kingdom Hearts 3.

 

i have a feeling the plot will move forward because as somone above said there are four stories. roxas is done, riku was kinda done (as in they explained what he was doing during his abscence), mickey is all over the place and xehanorts past. i think coded shows a bit about mickey but in the new game what i think theyd go off of is mickey and keep it as kh3 not a side story. the side story's will fill in some blanks and i believe bbs will fill in the rest (and its informative secret ending). i think nomura made these games in becoming ready for a new installment to further the game.

 

I'd be interested more in what Riku was doing after 358/2 Days. What worlds did he visit apart from Land of Dragons? What exactly was he up to? I think that kind of Riku spinoff would be worthwhile.
Still, I'm hoping the next game is KH3. =)

Idea: A free roaming ONLINE MULTIPLAYER sandbox, with everyone in the series so far as PC's. There could also be multiple costumes for each character. (KH1 or KH2 Sora, XIII or KH2 Roxas, KH1, Dark, Blind, or KH2 Riku, ect.)

 

This, I think.
Leave too much time between two installments of the main plot and people may lose interest.

 

Funny because I was just thinking about this. After BBS comes out there will be no more KH games confirmed to be in the works.

I think if they do make a new game it should be KH3 or a fighting game like Dissidia:FF. The Riku story would be fun to play with too.

Am I the only one that wants to play as Heartless? How about a Heartless game or something.

Also for KH3 we probably would find the Heartless of Org. XIII.

 

Roxas is done. As it may seem, but what about the somebodies of the rest of the organization members? We know what Axel and Saix's look like, but what about Demyx, Luxord, Marluxia and Larxene's somebodies? They should explain how they all fell into darkness. And Ansem and his appearentices rise into power? Unless BBS explains some of it as it does show cameos of some of them.

A possible KH fighting game would be interesting as well.

 

That would be an interesting idea that I never really thought about. I mean, if there are heartless such as Xehanorts, with a physical body and mind, I could see that making a good game.
Though, Heartless run on the instinct to take more hearts. That's all they want and do. It'd be kinda hard for Square-enix to make. Maybe a third-party developer?

When they first mentioned these 'three seperate installments linking to one main game' I thought that they'd take a year or two to dish out. And what, it's been almost 4 years since KH2's release? And they're only releasing 'side-stories'? How long will KH3 take? Another 4 years?
I lost interest in the KH3 main plot a long time ago.
