Birth by Sleep Whatever happened to these cutscenes?

I've came to realise, that after playing the game, many of the cutscenes that where shown in previous traillers aren't included. This is quite a letdown, since many of them where actually more epic than the ones that made to the final game. The first one with Terra and Ven in Radiant Garden is just incredible. The closest explanation would be that they where BETA cutscenes... But still, many of them where quite better as they where. Such is with Xehanort in Olympus Colisseum talking with Ven. I've found it much more interesting him apearing there rather than the one that we got in the Keyblade Graveyard!

Opinions and Discussions guys! What do you people think about it? Should these have made it to the final game!

 

Well, the second scene, where Xehanort is in Olympus Colliseum talking about Ven's heart. Here's my thoughts:
They probably cut that scene out so that they wait until a later time to reveal the truth about Ven's heart. If they revealed what had happened with his heart at a later point, it's more of a dramatic twist where you think, "OMG! This whole time he was

only half of a person!

No way!" But if it was revealed earlier, it would not be as 'exciting'.

Towards the end where you see Terra holding Ven, even though it was in Radiant Garden, that was just because they didn't create Land of Departure yet. It was funny seeing Ven see Cinderella at the ball though, so they must've swapped Ven and Terra's experience at her world. But I don't know why they took out that scene in the beginning. Maybe they couldn't think of a scene where Ven saves Terra?

 

Some worlds have been removed as well, sometimes they take things out of the game because they feel as though it is not important or doesn't add up to they story. It's sorta like in KH1 I believe they added a boss new boss fight for the US/EUR release; but did not with the Jap version. And plus since the trailer was released in '08 some stuff must've bound to be removed if the game took over a year to make.

 

They should've kept the mickey training scene with Yen Sid. Plus they should've added a new scene actually showing Vanitas vs. Mickey 1 on 1 in Neverland, that would've been epic

 

I remembered this, and the conclusion I got was that this trailer could have been an overview, since it's filled with cutscenes that weren't in the final game. However on further thought I think the other posts in this thread are right, it seems more likely that they made the cutscenes for the game but they got taken out.

 

Ok, let me clear this up... there not in bbs, because there in its final mix. I asked the same question to someone else and they said it was because of Birth by Sleep: Final Mix. and i have read up on some of it, and its seems to only be in Japan. Thats why none of those scenes are in English.

 

It's possible that TerraxLover89 is right! But wouldn't the FM version of the game contain new cutscenes, rather then old ones that where already shown before in a trailler!

It's just a Beta trailer, the KH1 beta trailer was quite different from the actual game, and the KH2 beta trailer was fairly similar but a lot of the locations were different. I think I read somewhere that some of the scenes in the BBS one take place in KH2 locations (Olympus Coliseum, Radiant Garden) because it was before they had begun developing the areas for BBS, so they just re-used the ones they had already used in previous games.
Most of the dialogue is similar to what we see in the game--they just made this trailer to build hype. :]

 

Although, I wouldn't be surprised if they did appear in Final Mix. Terra saving Ven could appear? Idk
Can I also point out something else too? Kingdom Hearts 358/2 days also appeared at those events. The game ALSO had cutscenes that weren't in the final game.

Its very possible it could be an overview, as the 358/2 days trailer showed KH2 locations and showed a cutscene that summarized some parts of the game. (Axel talking to Roxas, and a cutscene showing skateboards that weren't seen anywhere in the release)
