so this was #1 at the box office over the weekend and... every other film has at least twice as many reviews?
does anyone know how that even happens

 

Terrible terrible movies.

 

Truth. I'm so tired of 'Afro Circus'.

 

I'd be amazed if you weren't. Just the thought of seeing that in the movie scares the living-daylights out of me....and maybe even the living-nightlights.

 

But I just don't see how a big-budget movie like that gets half the number of reviews of everything else there? That's... really fishy.

 

Option 1: They are lying about the box office sales.
Option 2: A majority of the people who watched it had no standards and probably have never bothered to look on Rotten Tomatoes.

 

Madagascar 3 wasn't that bad, I mean its obviously not on par with Pixar or Dreamwork's other films but it wasn't horrible, I feel a lot of people are just bitter about it beating Prometheus. IDK The Madagascar franchise does not feel as forced as Shrek was.

 

People actually liked Prometheus?

 

The majority of tumblr, since they usually blind themselves with so much hype.

Parents don't take their kids so they can write reviews about 'Afro Circus'.

 

I'm actually wanting to see it. What's so bad about it? Although, while I don't hate the Madagascar movies, I would like to see anything else over them. Like MIB 3 that i will be seeing on Sunday

 

The reviews haven't been nearly as bad as I was expecting.

Still, the first was the best and that is how it will always be.

Mainly just the dumb as **** characters. I am not going to go into spoilers though, and I know that I can not sway your opinion no matter what I say.

 

That's not what I'm talking about though? A 76% is a decent rating for Rotten Tomatoes, especially considering it's the third film in the franchise. I have nothing good or bad to say about the movie as I haven't seen it, so.
I just find it a little fishy that the sheer number of critic reviews is so alarmingly low. Four days after release and it's only received 70ish critic reviews. Other films have a lot more by comparison -- Prometheus for example has 223 total critic reviews. Basically, half of the people that should be weighing in on it have not and I'm wondering why that is -- perhaps the studio is indeed hiding something?

 

That is possible. Hm.

 

The only reason I can find it bad is that Will Smith decided to use Pitbull for the theme. I mean, I enjoyed the other two themes, and they were made by Will Smith.....but then this happens. That can not be forgiven. And yes, the first is the best. But MIIB is a close second for me. There are times I find it better than the first, just because they don't bring in some character and completely throw them away in the next movie, like they did with that doctor lady.

Oh come on, who doesn't love the whole "kick the guy down a giant hole while yelling an epic line"? And I'd consider it more like a tagline than anything.

Probably. Even if the movie was bad, unless I hear a bunch of people say it was incredibly terrible, and I actually caught glimpses of it, like I do with the movies Nostalgia Critic does, my view wouldn't be changed at all.

 

There came a point in time when I clicked on to the fact that this conversation is actually taking place, then I stopped reading.

This is now.

 

I'd say the review is good. It did what it they intended for it to do. It's a kids movie.
