What would the KH series look like if...

    ...there are only Final Fantasy characters and no Disney characters and vice versa. I've been wondering about this for a few years, yet I can't think of anything.

    It would look like a Final Fantasy focused on Friendship, with various plotholes.

    Without one of the other it would just look like the other.
    KH without Square is Disney.
    KH without Disney is Square (albeit slightly more cartoon-y.)

    It would lose it's Disney magic. It would probably still be a good game but wouldn't have the awesome Disney element of it.

    I agree. Not sure why some people hate the Disney elements of the Kingdom Hearts series...

    Well... I think the game would be less childish but more mature. Maybe with a few more character-deaths or something.
    But KH without any disney characters is ways beyond my imaginary... The game's magic depends on everyone and everything, including the wonderful disney worlds and its characters. It just wouldn't be the same.

    Pretty sure kh wouldnt be possible without disney since Maleficient amd Mickey have a huge impact on the story.

    In m opinion in the KH series the Disney characters play a WHOLE lot more in the gameplay/story than the FF characters do. SO without FF characters the game wouldnt change TOO much, but it still would, but without Disney characters, the game would be completely different, such as no "KING" mickey, in which case youd have to find a "King" from the FF series, a characters that everyone would know. i mean cmon, who knows disney, but cant recognize mickey mouse? or even better, WHO cant recongnize mickey mouse? every1 can.

    I couldn't imagine anyone other in the whole world replacing Mickey in KH!
    I gained so much respect for him since I've played KH and whenever I see Mickey appearing in TV or so all I can think of is: "oh, the King." His role in KH really got stuck in my head.

    I think Kingdom Hearts would still be very different without Final Fantasy. I mean come on, Leon is the one who told Sora what the keyblade was and all that other stuff.

    It just wouldn't be Kingdom Hearts without one or the other.
    Without Disney, it would be just a Final Fantasy game and without Final Fantasy it would be just a game with a bunch of random Disney characters and little if any violence involved.

    The two make an excellent match!
    Honestly, the game wouldn't be as memorable without the two together. I would have never thought of a final fantasy/Disney game. There isn't really much similarity, so they seem to balance each other.
    Taking two completely different sets of characters and making them interact.
    With that, no matter how old the game gets, it will always be something to remember.
