...were to break the sound barrier? Disregarding technological/physical limitations, let's just put a bow and arrow in a guy's hand and have him shoot it at speeds over mach 1. How would it look like when it tears through the barrier?
It would look like an arrow flying really fast. You'd be able to hear a sonic boom, but you wouldn't see anything that you wouldn't see if it were going under the speed of sound.
