Kingdom Hearts II What will the KHX be about?

The only confirmed thing about KHX is that its gonna be on a hand-held platform. We don't know the title or the release date even the main character. What are you're theories on what the game's story, character and theme will be like?

 

Nomura did an interview and said he'd like the story to be around the time when Sora goes to sleep, though he also wishes to highlight a few scenes such as King Mickey's journey in Darkness to get the Keyblade, Roxas's life with the Org and such, and Riku's life during the time, and how he had learned his Darkness abilities so extremely well. He is debating putting Riku as the main character in the game but to have Roxas in there as well, and well, obviously we'll see some of Mickey and DiZ and probably Namine. I think it will be interesting to see the lives of the other characters while Sora slept and to give them some spotlight time since we didn't get to see much of them really.

 

Hm . . . yeah I heard that, but I thought that, that was for future titles in the KH series. I thought KHX is about Aqua, Ven and Terra.

 

I would rather see a story about them on a home console rather an a handheld.

I would like to see something like that done, Repliku. Seeing what actually happened during Sora's sleep.

 

I think it's going to be about Terra, Ven, and Aqua.

 

Actually the unknown title game is the next KH game since it is not KH3. The one after that with Ven, Aqua etc will probably be KH3. There's nothing out that says it won't, so I misinterpreted which game you meant.

 

i hope!!! the story of Birth by Sleep..whatever it is!! wont be a hand held game!!!
UGH! that would suck! the graphics would be so limited! the other story idea however i would not mind if they were on a hand held...as long as Birth by Sleep is on the PS2 ill be fine!

Nomura said he wasn't working on PS2 anymore so I doubt it would come to that, why can't they just have a reverse Rebirth with Roxas and Riku? As long as the side story goes to portable and the Aqua, Ven and Terra's story go on a main console I'm hoping.

They didn't really confirm it. Nomura said it MIGHT be on a hand-held platform. Whether it is or not, the game play will be dependent on the platfrom. The story, however, has no limits. I hope the characters aren't in sprite form. *imagines old Geezernort as a sprite* O.o That would be lame. I wanna see the new characters in at least a quality as good as the PSP. NOT NITENDO DS! OR WII! It would be totally cool to see them in HD for the PS3 or X-Box 360. But who knows! *suffering from lack of info*

 

Meh, having Mickey as the main character would be pretty reminiscent of the old disney games and his moves would be so cool.

Heck, maybe there could be drive forms for Mickey.

 

The PSP has a lot of capabilities to handle a Birth by Sleep game, check out Crisis Core for a reference.

 

The one with Riku, Roxas and Mickey has a likely chance of being on the PSP. It's going to probably be like CoM though with better graphics and I hope without the cards. The game after that is probably going to be KH3 which would feature what we see in the teaser trailers at the end of KH2 and KH2:FM. We might even get another trailer with this next game that is played with Riku, Mickey and Roxas in it. Seems to me it's working the same way KH did, where we had a trailer for KH2 but nothing really for CoM and CoM also had a trailer in it for KH2. Note that CoM was not a 'numbered' game either and was kind of a filler game leading to KH2. That's my take on it though I could be wrong.

As said above, in the first post, Kingdom Hearts - the next game that is due out - it has no number or anything and no one is sure what it will be called. The beginner of the thread just made it simple and called it KHX to show that the X is the unknown factor.

Read above for some more info as we've been chatting it out and hopefully that catches you up to where we are.

 

Exactly, TGS 2007 is rumored to have some more info on KHX such as a TITLE and MAYBE a trailer, it'll probably be just CGI like FFvsXIII.

 

Maybe it's a game AND A CGI movie.:D

 

It's very hard to anticipate things like this. Remember the crazy theories going around after KH1 came out?

There was some seriously strange theories at that time.

I find it best to just sit back and wait for information rather than kill myself dying to know.


I tried that in around April, and I decided that it was much easier to do it this way when I got to a certain point.

TGS is coming up. We can wait, at least, until then.
