I haven't really cried when playing a video game. This doesn’t mean that a part in a video game hasn't made me sad I just haven't cried when playing a video game. [IMG]

The only time I've cried while playing a video game is at the end of Okami when Issun leaves before you board the Ark of Yamato. The soundtrack made me cry even more.

Yeah, that almost made me cry. That is, until Roxas totally killed the mood with, "Who else will I have ice cream with?"

****ing this.
Though to be honest, it was even worse during the fight with Yami, when Issun gathers everyone up and goes, "So c'mon, everybody! Let's join together to call upon the great god. Let's show Ammy that we truly believe! Put your hands together and pray. Let's make our gratitude obvious! I mean, we shouldn't pray only when we want something. We should consider how the gods must feel once in a while. We should even take on some of their burden. If you pray with all your heart, maybe the sun will cheer up and show itself once again, lighting our world with its heavenly glow."
The music and the concept of everyone praying while Issun spread Ammy's image across Nippon. ;_;

No game has made me cry. But one of Heavy Rain's endings is pretty sad, though that ending is up to you. ;-; Really that's all that comes to mind.

The endings to Klonoa: Door to Phantomile and Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil put tears in my eyes. I didn't see either coming, which is more than I can say for any other game I've played. It's just something about the way Klonoa leaves everyone that does it. Not sure why either.

Most of the romance in Umineko no Naku Koro ni is depressing in a multitude of ways. Let's look at some of them, shall we?

George x Shannon:
EP1: George proposes, everything appears to be going to plan. Shannon is found dead in a store house, her head bashed in.
EP2: Appears to be fairly successful. Then you find out that it's doomed to failure because Shannon is furniture. Then she gets help from a witch, so her romance succeeds. Then the witch decides to kill her for the lulz.
EP3: Shannon is killed right at the beginning. George revives her, only to have her immediately shot dead again by the Siesta Sisters. He dies alongside her.

Jessica x Kanon:
EP2: Getting along well enough, then Jessica confesses and Kanon rejects her because of a furniture complex. A witch tries to kill Jessica to get a reaction out of him. They both are killed.
EP3: Dies at the start. Gets revived for a few minutes to guide Jessica away so that she'll be eaten by goats instead of repeatedly killed by a witch.
EP6: Fights in an odd contest against George and Shannon to resolve the furniture issue. He loses, and vanishes. His soul then gets trapped in a closet for all eternity.

And those are only the FANTASY scenes. The scenes that are supposed to be -nice-. The reality is -far- harsher.

I havn't cried at a video game but I found -I know haters gunna hate- When Rose dies in Fable 2 and when Hero goes into dream/childhood past type thing when you spend the day with Rose then you have to runaway and you can hear her screaming after you, also when Lucien kills the dog quite sad. Like I said haters gunna hate but it made me sad I didn't cry though.

Also when Xion was fading in Days, Roxas's line 'Who else will I have ice cream with' didn't bother me if anything it made me feel even more sad. I don't see why it bothers some people.

It bothers me, because of how out of place it is. We've got Xion dying, and Roxas immediately thinks about ice cream. It's odd.

Never really cried in a game, but saddest moments I've found were in the Last case of Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Trials and Tribulations.

The bit's when this song comes on

and Godot blames Phoenix for Mia's death.

The bit where it turns out Elise Deauxnim, the victim, was actually Maya's mother Misty Fey and Pearl blames herself for Misty's death.

The ending of the last case when Godot starts Crying/Bleeding

Oh and also in PW1, in Turnabout Sisters, when Mia is killed.

God Capcom know how to make games depressing when they aren't supposed to be.

The only time I have cried in a video game is In Kingdom Hearts 1, when Sora released his heart in order for Kairi to wake up :(

I know it seems odd but Roxas associated friends with ice cream since he met Xion and Axel on the clock tower for ice cream near enough each day. In my view he was sort of saying 'Who else will I be friends with?' etc. But that's just my view.

Yeah, I think that's the effect they were going for.

For most people though, ice cream and death scenes should never be mixed. :/

^This^

and

The Heaven's Feel Scenario of Fate/Stay Night. Basically because it's just one long barrage of player punches and it just seems to get worse and worse until the end and even that depends on certain choices. The "Normal End" in particular is one of the saddest in my opinion
because although Sakura has been freed from the control of the Angra Mainyu, she lives the rest of her life waiting for Shirou, the person who sacrificed himself to destroy the Holy Grail and save Sakura, to come back to her. He doesn't get better and yet she still wait remaining alone as she ages and watches everything change around her ;~;.
Thank god, the True End is actually a happy ending.

Oh lol this too. I was also in public when I finished the game and was like FFFF must move away from general population

But technically it's not the "same" Zack, since Aerith's alive in KHI and II. So you never know, lol, Nomura might bring him back.

Well, I never really cried at any games but the most saddest ones I can come up with is KH: 358/2 Days or in Legend of Legaia, You destory the last Msit generator and Conkram's palace is covered by a huge monster, so when you destoryed it, you had to allow an entire kingdom to die.

I never really cried from a videogame scene until I played Final Fantasy XIII. Chapters 7 and 8 were the most emotionally impacting parts of the game.

In Chapter 7, Hope attempts to kill Snow for his irresponsibility in leading Hope's mother to her death, but it fails and Snow saves Hope's life. The two eventually make amends.

In Chapter 8, Sazh's son becomes encased in crystal and the fingers point to Vanille as the one responsible for what happened to him. Sazh attempts to shoot Vanille but finds it in his heart to resist. Stricken with grief, he attempts to shoot himself but doesn't succeed.

Axel had told Roxas once that eating ice cream together is what friends do. Roxas wasn't sure how to tell Xion as she was fading away that he didn't want to lose his friend.
