What should the next KH port be?

What do you think should be the next re-released (on current gen consoles) KH game? And why?

My vote goes to a BBS/KH2 bundle thing going on.

 

KH2FM BBSFM and Re:Coded bundle has already been more or less confirmed

 

I would LIKE to see a totally redesigned version of Days, myself, somewhere down the line. As much as I love the original there are just so many flaws and mistakes with it that it needs to be redone from the ground up.

There's a good game in there somewhere, I just know it.

Pretty much this. If you have the Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMix the credits at the main selection screen that unlock when you beat one of the games shows scenes from Birth by Sleep Final Mix, Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix Plus, and Re: Coded remastered cutscenes. Plus I remember Nomura saying something like "it would be dumb not to remaster Kingdom Hearts 2" at some point, but I may be wrong.

On this note most likely not many people have seen the credits because they don't wanna spoil anything about the 1.5 ReMix for them at all.

 

Yeah ditto what everyone said, but as you asked NEXT and KH2/BBS/Codded are coming, I would hope for DDD as I won't have a 3Ds.

 

Seems kind of pointless for that option to even be on the list when we KNOW it's next. I hope Coded is playable and not just turned into a "movie" where parts of it have no context.

 

I feel liked Re:Coded might be playable, because it already borrows heavily from BBS, adn frankly, people care more about the gameplay of Re:Coded than its story

 

Same here. It's "story" can be summed up pretty quickly and it's the host for one of the worst "not-a-rhymes" ever; trying to rhyme "mended" and "end it", really Square?

Then again I guess this is what happens when the core plot point (Data Sora) was Goofy's idea.

They shoud make a remake of days (like they did with chain of memories). Cuz it was a nice game but released on the wrong hardware

 

Funny thing is that Nomura in an interview said that they originally had to decide whether to fully remake 358/2 Days for the HD 1.5 ReMix or only do the cutscenes, and for time's sake he just had the cutscenes remastered. Although I would love to play 358/2 Days HD on a console instead of the DS.

 

Speaking of Re:Coded, will it not simply be in the vain of Days in 2.5, wherein it will consist of cutscenes instead of being playable? If they are keeping this theme up, I presume they would.

At any rate, a DDD port would be good to me for anyone who hasn't a 3DS to play it, since it's a pretty integral game in the series to me. Especially for KH3.
I would love to see all these 1.5 and 2.5 games being playable on the PSVita, since i'd love to be able to play KH on the go when i'm away from the TV.

 

I doubt Dream Drop Distance would be getting a remaster. At least not on the ps3. You're kind of forced to use the touch screen and you cant really do anything about that,

 

Agreed, I think some of the difficulty in porting Days (and therefore, all 3DS games) was that translating the gameplay to the console would not be easy. Also, Dream Drop Distance was released so recently, I can't seem them already doing a remaster of it. I'd be all for including it because it is a very important title, but I don't see it happening, realistically.

 

Tbh I'd be kind of pissed if they port DDD to PS3 any time soon. I just bought a 3DS specifically for DDD last winter. If I had known I could wait and have it on a PS3 which I already wanted, I would have waited. If they wait a while and port it to PS4, fine, like a lot people I'll be buying that for KH3 and FFXV anyway.

 

Well we also have to remember that it's possible that future KH remasters will be available on the PS4 through Gaikai, if not directly released on the PS4. I don't really see why they would bother making 2.5 for the PS3 when it's so much easier to develop for the PS4.

But then, that's coming from someone who has preordered a PS4. I know a lot of people will still be rockin' a PS3 well into the next generation and would like to see KH remasters on the PS3.

 

I'll think they'll keep KH2.5 on the PS3, more because I think that's what they're developing it for right now and this late stage would be inconsistent on their part and take a lot longer to produce. Not to mention, if they developed it for the PS4, i'm sure they would be pushed to develop it for the Xbox, like KH3 will and receive negative feedback for doing so. I'm not sure if there are copyright issues to the games only being able to be published on Sony consoles, but in general Square work on Sony consoles since that's what's always sold well in their native Japan.

I just think the first KH game on the PS4 will be KH3.

 

Days for me. Sice Nomura stated that it was originally going to be playable, I'm keeping my hopes up. But I'm still not sure how they will implement it. KH3D, I can see it either in the PS4 at least, because some bosses need to use the touch screen function in KH3D (Forgot it's name) to defeat them.
