What is the saddest anime?

What is the saddest anime you have seen, all the ones I've watched lately have either made me cry or make we want to :o


So what's the saddest anime you have seen and why is it so sad?

Tsubasa Chronicles: The start he gives up the chance of love so that he can save her, she doesn't remember him at all and it is so sad :(

Revolutionary Girl Utena: The end jeez all that Utena went through for Anthy only to well if you've see it you know! That one made me cry. A lot.

Elfen Lied: meep when Nana goes to fight the evil brat to save the others, when Lucy faces the armed men at the end. When Kurama says goodbye to his daughter.



All sad! :(

Wolf's Rain hands down. I cried for each of them. It was SAD!!! I don't want to spoil it for anyone watching it,so that's all I'll say....

 

Tough choice between Elfen Lied and Chobits, but I would have to go with Chobits when Chii turns into her sister and loses her memory of Heidiki.

 

Wolfs rain and cradle of the fire flies(think that is what it is called)

 

I've just started watching that this week, I heard it was pretty good :D


Yeah some of Chobits was sad too :( maybe it's rule that animes have to have sadness...

 

Well.....I haven't cried to an anime, hell I don't cry to any shows! (because I fall asleep to non action shows...), but Full Metal Alchemist made me made, especially the movie........

 

Full Metal Alchemist, above all else. The series AND the movie.

 

dunno... dont think that any anime is sad.. but at the end of Death Note The Last name it was really sad, but thats not anime...

 

AIR TV hands down. I'm not gonna spoil it though.

The immense failure of the movie made me cry, if that's what you mean. Most people saw the end of the series as the climax, and the movie as the downfall. Seriously, they could have done a lot better with it.

 

I thought that eureka seven was a sad anime cause there children died

 

full metal alchemist made me cry, and so did blood plus. so sad...so sad.:(

 

my bad it was chrno crusade that made me cry

 

Saianko (She, the Ultimate Weapon) that is such a sad anime.

Also so was the ending of Fate/Stay Night.

 

I haven't watched many anime (i'm just really starting to watch them) but so far Fruits Basket has made me quite sad, all those tradegies and Akito, hate him sooo much

 

I actually think Death-note is kind of sad >.>

 

To be honest, I've never seen an anime that made me cry or even upset =/

I have a black hole where my heart should be.

Oh yeah, I totally forgot about Saikano. I remember reading some article on how depressing it was.
