Kingdom Hearts II What IS Kingdom hearts?

ok so if u have beat both games then this will be easy to explain...

in KH1

kingdom hearts is said to hold untold wisdom
so the bad guys gather the 7 princesses to open the Final Door
but Ansem (xehanorts heartless) shows up says KH is full of darkness and whatever...so i was like "oh **** more darkness" but then sora says "i know now that Kingdom hearts is light" and thus light shoots out kills ansem and woohoo no darkness
WRONG!
there were a butt load of heartless in there anyway

the org wants to find and go into kh to get hearts...simplie right? WRONG!
in this game not only did the door to KH look different it also was a moon "wtf??"
and!!! no princesses! and!! the inside of the door was messed up!! UGH!

so what im getting at is
WHAT IS KINGDOM HEARTS!??!?!

Well, in KH1, the moral of the story is that "There is light, even in the deepest darkness." So, Kingdom Hearts was actually full of darkness. But there was enough light inside to kill Xehanort's Heartless.

In KH2, Xemnas created his own version of Kingdom Hearts to get the Organization's hearts back.

And the princesses were necessary to open the Door to Darkness, not Kingdom Hearts. I think they're different.

 

That was Xemnas' attempt at making his own Kingdom Hearts.

 

yes well i know that its the heart of all worlds but....y were there heartless inside?!?! and why was there (in the frist game) the keyblade of the dark realm inside KINGDOM HEARTS? >_<

As Thebazilly stated, that was the door to darkness, not Kingdom Hearts.

 

lets see kingdom hearts comes in more than one form or umm...there is more kh's?

i have a question why did they kill all the nobodies they just wanted hearts i mean damn if u ask me they were kinda heartless themselves o_O

Kingdom Hearts is the Heart of all worlds pretty much. All the worlds in KH are linked together, though at times doorways are blocked. Kairi's grandmother in KH said all the worlds were adjoined, pretty much as one but the Darkness in people's hearts caused it to be spread out.

The theme as others have mentioned, of Kingdom Hearts, is that in the greatest Darkness, light may still be found. Because there was so much Darkness, it surrounds Kingdom Hearts, but Sora is right, Kingdom Hearts itself is Light. The Hearts collected there are from the Heartless slain, and they collect and build it up, being held there in a safety. When freed in the Darkness, by DiZ, the Hearts returned to being Heartless because of all the Darkness that was around and that's what they were before being sent to Kingdom Hearts. I almost theorize it's a sort of holding place for Hearts until the worlds are repaired because the pattern of the life of worlds is somewhat broken. It is a theme in quite a few Final Fantasies that there is a cycle of life and when things die, they return to it, but the cycle gets broken. This seems to be a way of saying that the worlds are broken pieces and need to be refitted somehow for the things to go back as they were. It's hard to explain it. Maybe I'll try again after I have some sleep.

As for why it is in a different spot than in KH1, that is because after Sora defeated Ansem and they closed the door, the worlds went back to their state before and things were shifted around. The Princesses' Hearts were needed since they are linked to their worlds by their Hearts. Kingdom Hearts was still in a Dark area, though protected, in the End of the World spot. It was a route there open at the time but I doubt in KH2 that would work out as all worlds went back to how they were before what Xehanort/Ansem had done.

Like I said, nothing personal, but Kingdom Hearts is basically just some ever-changing gateway into Hearts of good and bad, most of the time it's bad, but occasionally it's good. The heartless came from Dark Kingdom Hearts, whereas Roxas, Sora, Kairi, Namine, Riku, etc. etc. came POSSIBLY from Light Kingdom Hearts. My bets are on that they were actually right in the middle, but I don't know fully how. If this doesn't make sense to you, rep me and say it doesn't make sense, I'm okay with it(I hardly make sense)

 

Hmm, its never exactly stated, alot is left to speculation/upcoming games... as far as i gather

In KH 1, ansem(Xehanorts heartless) tried to release the darkness within kingdom hearts, meaning KH is propably like every heart made of light and dark, thus the heartless... dont forget he belived that darkness was superior to light, so not everything he said must be perfectly correct. It was later shown that a bit of light was even in the darkness on the other side, enough to burn away ansem who was weakend from his fight with sora,
going along with the theme of "even in the deepest darkness there is light."

That in KH2 was an artifical construction of the nobodies, something that should have enough power to create new hearts for them. Since it was blown up by DiZ before being really complete, we dont know if and how it had worked, but giving that Xemnas/Xehanort was a scientific genious, i assume he knew what he was doing. Also giving Xemnas statements, it would propably have acted as a worlds heart for TWTNW, turning that from a in-between construction into a "real" world

 

Kingdom Hearts is the heart of all worlds, as all the people say. It confuses a lot of people, so don't worry. Kingdom Hearts can make Nobodies whole, which was the Organization's sole purpose. Hope this clarifies.

 

Like everyone else said. The heart of all worlds...Or you could think of it as that "thing" everyone keeps referring too in the game...

 

I'm not for sure about all that "in-depth" stuff. But from what I've gathered from the first 2 games, it's basically the heart of EVERYTHING.

 

I think it's where all the hearts go when people die (?)
