Kingdom Hearts II What if it hadn't been Axel?

So, I started wondering what would've happened if it hadn't been Axel who was sent after Roxas at the beginning of Kingdom Hearts 2. How different would've everything been? Would they have managed to wake up Sora?

 

well it's Axel's job to hunt down the renegade members so that's why he went. but i have to admit i'd love to see what happaned if they had sent Demyx "i told them they were sending the wrong guy"

 

That would be funny as hell dude!But I think that if Demyx was sent,Roxas would be dead,from water.Demyx can be a tough one to face one your first time playing Kh2.

 

Well Axel failed at his job anyway. He froze and it was Diz who controlled what Roxas did in the end. Roxas would have ended up reaching the mansion anyway, the dusks made sure of that.
Infact, if anyone else in the org more fierce than Axel has accepted the job they would have done much better.

 

Anyone else that was put up for the job wouldn't have had made it easier for Roxas because there would be no friendship there.
Axel's past relationship with Roxas made it hard for him to be hard on him...Especially when he didn't remeber Roxas.
It sounds alot like nobodies can feel after all.
Saix would have ripped him to pieces on the first shot, no need for Naminé's imput on how he shouldn't exist, anyother member would lay it to him straight, which is why they picked Axel, to make the game interesting.Not a real life situation if you ask me.

 

Roxas would have died if Saix went after him, hands down.

 

I can see Demyx going after Roxas since he and Axel seemed to be the only members of the organization that cared about him.

 

I agree with that statement. Demyx did want Roxas to come back to the organization and seemed to be bummed out when he encountered Sora for the first time. I feel the reason why Demyx did not go after Roxas was because he was either involved doing something else for another member like Xigbar who seems to boss him around, or Xemnas felt that Demyx was not capable of doing something of great importance. Maybe he felt Demyx would of gotten distracted or failed to bring Roxas back.

 

You're completly right. Demyx (as you will see in 358/2 Days) Demyx like Roxas almost as much as Roxas did. I think that even if Xemnas came after him, Roxas would still get away.

 

It would be really interesting to see what would happen if they sent Larxene after him...
Tho she's dead and all... But you get my point.

 

I agree with you, I would LOVE to see Larxene going after Roxas. But really, what does it have to do with being dead? Didn't Axel die in KH2? Or was he freaking ticking me off again, with his slow motion disappearing act only he seems to do? Anyways, Larxene would be a good choice.

I think if anyone other than Axel would have gone, unless it was Demyx, would have just been curt with things and deemed he was not the same at the first encounter. Xaldin or Saix especially would have just deemed him over with and tried to destroy him. I do think that it could have turned out pretty dire in the end because Riku and Saix faced in the novel and Riku was clearly the stronger one. It may have eliminated Saix or Xaldin from the game a lot sooner.

Axel was so sent on purpose though because of his bizarre friendship with Roxas. It was intended to test out Axel too, who had not been so forthcoming with information from Castle Oblivion and he was the only survivor of the Org to return. His loyalty was quite questionable. Also, Xaldin, Saix and Xigbar were absolutely needed elsewhere for Xemnas's plans to work, so going after Roxas was given to Axel since he might have the luckiest chance of reaching through to Roxas and he wasn't going to be trusted with other missions.

I agree Demyx would have been hilarious. Especially just to hear that line.

Axel was teh best choice because everyone else (cept Demyx) didn't like Roxas. he woulda PWNED em neways because he's the "chosen one"

 

I can totally pull off her laugh! Damn, I really should have gone to Disney Studios for an audition...
But anyways, I would have enjoyed to see Roxas being kicked in his stomach and being thrown against a wall, by a hi-pitch voiced lady.

 

Roxas would still be in org 13...or else dead. In the 4th day Axel tried to bring roxas back...conscious or not.

So if it wasn't Roxas's friend he would of been defeated *whether he died or not i don't know* or perhaps maybe brought back with his memories coming back.

 

He would be killed if it were any1 besides Axel or Demyx... Demyx was too nice... figuratively speaking...
Larxene would slowly and brutally torture him to death for her own pleasure :[
And any1 else would kill him quickly and leave :[
But it would be funny shyt if they'd sent Demyx out to get him, lol
But it'd be interesting to have seen Larxene go out after him.

 

If they didn't send Axel, DiZ probably would have stopped whoever it was, or Riku. The rest of the game would have occured anyway. But I bet Axel would feel really crappy if whoever it was actually killed Roxas.

 

If anyone else had gone, Roxas would have died. No question about it.
