What Happens To You When You Die?

Topic Title. What exactly happens to you when you die?

Some believe you go to Heaven or Hell, depending on your actions whilst you were alive. Other's believe you just rot in the ground (if you are buried), or scattered around your favourite place (if you are cremated). Other's believe you are reborn as a human/animal, depending on what happened to you during the course of life.

Me, I believe that you are reborn as a human, with your memory wiped, SAVE ONE, your most important memory that does NOT involve family members. And that you are reborn on the other side of the planet. If you were a bad person (I.E. Racist, Slobby, Disrespectful, Mean, Hurtful), you are sent to a poor country. If you were the opposite of the above, you are sent to where you previously were (Depending).

But what're your thoughts on this subject?

 

I used to ask this to my friends and we used to think very hard about this

This is what i think: When you are dead, your brain will stop working and after body is being buried, your body will give out electrons will in turn become 'electricity field' thats why when you see 'ghosts' it's actually dead body giving out 'electricity' causing you to see figures <- this is in a science way

In another way i believe when you die depending heaven or hell, you will be given a time to become recarinated(not sure how to spell) into another form be it human or animal.

 

You become nothing. Nothingness you can't imagine. Because we don't know what nothing is; but that's the point. There is no clue... you just aren't there. You're completely gone, and you have no thoughts or consciousness or anything. It's hard to explain.

 

I find it hard to imagine that you will just become nothing, but I think it is true, i mean everything stops working.

 

reincarnation. If you have a good life, thats heaven. If you have a bad life, thats hell.

 

There's no way anyone can predict what happens after death. I just hope there's something. I don't want the end of my life to mean the end of my existence.

 

I dunno if this could be correct but...
Part of me thinks that before ur born your soul is in "Heaven" and when you die it goes to 'hell" and in later years(probly about 1000) you go back to heaven to be rencarnated..... the only problem is i dont beleive that there is a heaven or hell... i think somebody just wanted to explane the ways of life in the simplest way they could.... like a myth... but they forgot one thing. What happens in or after hell? For now it will remain a mystery...:(

I'm a Heaven and Hell guy. I don't believe in purgatory though, purgatory is bull****.

 

The thing is, Mish, you won't care if it does. Because you own't even nkow if there is nothingness after death, because that's what there is... just complete nothingness. So... I really don;t know. I'm just saying, it all sounds weird I know... but... I mean... jesus as I'm typing this I'm starting to think there MUST be something. Our consciousness can't just... stop, can it? It's so weird to even think about it.

Anyway, I like to believe that we get reborn as someone else with a complete memory wipe. I'm a Christian and since most christians like to believe you go to hell and heaven, I'm the 5% that believes we get born as someone else. I don't know know we get born as someone else, since somebody doesn't become pregnant at a random second. But I like to think that the baby inside some people isn't really anything until a spirit or soul from another dead body takes the place of it. Stupid idea, I know. But when I don't think about my theory above I think about heaven n' hell (AKA the afterlife).

 

Finally I know there's another Christian besides me on these Forums. Rock on dude.xD

Will people please stop making these pointless threads. We've already made like five of these.

incarnation in theory is impossible because if ur memory is wiped then really ur not the same person but in terms of ur soul being put into a new body that would connect u to the "reincarnation". i personally beleive that true death is not something u can experience since wen u die ur electrical impulses stop flowing so will feel nothing and u will not think anything u will not be, u wont care, because u cant care, and u cant will urself to carei beleiv its like an uncontrolable dreamless sleep without the part were u wake up in the end and realize that u were sleeping and wat really matters in life is if u think u did wat u sould have and if u die and think that u did all u needed to do even if u were Hitler(not that i agree with all his actions) then wat happens latter does not matter.

i realize that some of wat i said may contridict itself and this might seem like a large waste of space and time but i beleive that it should be said so i said it.

I personally think almost the exact same thing...o___o Man we are too alike.

The only difference in my believe is that when reincarnation takes place, you don't remember anything, no matter how significant that memory was.

Kinda like starting a new game. And you're placed anywhere in the world, any race, everything is changed. So many things about the spirit to bring up about philosophy.

The belief in reincarnation kinda blows the christian belief into oblivion, actually. I belief we go to heaven, but only if we were pure enough....but isn't that what Purgatory is for? Of course it is. I belief reincarnation is like a second chance, because that infact could be like a purgatory, correct?

 

Actually, there WAS a kid who was ranting about the WW2 and the Japanese killing him in the air. Everything he stated is right. His father did a little research, everything correct.

 

i believe theres a place where everyone goes >> when you die you come back as a cat or dog xD or another animal, or maybe even a fly or spider :3 LOL XDD
